Looks like we are going to get all the Toons before the year is out … now out …
This is the LOWERED & TUNED OUT Mater (like SDCC Mater) though in regular paint and with oil stains … (and of course, no box that lights up).
Don’t get this confused with DRIFT PARTY MATER which is based on the LAST SCENE of Tokyo Mater where Mater looks like Brand New Mater but with skinny rims, tires and missing hood.
(the confusion is the ID photo on the left is wrong).

We found the Toyko Mater with Oil Stains and when we opened it up, the front wheels won’t roll. They are either jammed or supposed to be this way? I have no idea, but my son is disappointed so I told him I would try and find out if we just bought a defective one! BTW, found it at a Target out of town, so I probably won’t find another one anytime soon 🙁
(MET: They definitely roll so yours are defective … yea, not a lot on the shelves so far …).
Don’t give up hope. I picked up 2 of these, for some friends, from a Target a few weeks ago, thinking that it would be the last and only time I saw him on the shelf. Much to my surprise I saw another one hanging around on the peg at a TRU, the day after Black Friday. You’ll find another one, if not in a store, then from the Trading Forum. Had quite a productive trip to my TRU this morning! Found Manji, Referee Pitty, Teki & Paki, Beanie Mater, I-Screamer, Drift Party Mater and Tokyo Mater w/stains, Tormentor’s Biggest Fan, and a bunch of other Toons from Tokyo Mater and UFM. Got my free case, too!
Let me ask you a question, the case you got, is the new one with Tormentor and the Monster from Dr. Frankenwagen? My father got my order yesterday and show me our case, IT IS AMAZING!!!
Didn’t see the Monster; either it wasn’t in that case, or some Ebay seller found them first and cleaned them all out before I got there.

We have found the Tokio Mater with Oil Stains already 3 weeks ago here in Austria. With the incredible price of €14,99 (around $20,50 USD) 🙁
wish our walmart would lower the prices. Except for some really old mega octain gains and 4 lenticulars all we have are the toon megas and the old toon orderly pitty, nurse gto ones.
Haven’t seen these but did find Mater Chase with Glow in dark Gaslight and Duff Wrecks today (Kmart Perth Australia)

Tru sale today 2 for 9.99 on the deluxe. Picked up the Tokyo Mater with Oil stains again along with Tormentors Biggest Fan. Already had them but couldnt resist the nice sale.
TRU had the entire new cube out filled with the singles from UFM mater and Tokyo Mater.
I see lots of Chuys and Monster Trucks at Walmart and Target, but haven’t seen any of this guy yet. Walmart has been selling their “Deluxe” Toon cars for $3.97 too. Can’t beat that.
Saw 6 of these at our walmart today its the only new one on the peg. Is this the only one in the case?
If anyone needs one I can go back and get you one, there are 5 left. Price was $8.14, regular megas 6.94 makes NO sense why toons are more.

Is it just me, or does Tokyo Mater have a picture of Drift Party Mater on the package? Looks like the executive in charge of product packaging approval didn’t notice that the pictures were switched when he signed off…
That is supposed to be there — all characters from “Tokyo Mater” have Drift Party Mater on the package. Similarly, all characters from “Mater the Greater” have Mater the Greater on the package; all characters from “Rescue Squad Mater” have Rescue Squad Mater on the package, etc., etc., etc..
No, I mean the pic on the front of the blister, that’s supposed to show the car in the package. The Drift Party Mater package has a pic of Tokyo Mater, and the Tokyo Mater package has a pic of Drift Party Mater. Both have the “wrong” picture, as if whoever signed off on the packaging didn’t know which was which.
Does anyone have a numbered list of all of the Cars Toons (both singles and Deluxe or Mega)? I am having a hard time figuring out what I have/need, etc.
I have created my own. I can send it to you tonight. You will see, this is the land of confusion. I did my best but I count on MET to give us the perfect one like he always do 😉

YES! I found them on Sunday and then more on Thrusday. I think they JUST started arriving last Friday/Saturday!! Very cool!!!! It is interesting how the packed Manji with the AWESOME Graphic to the INSIDE so he looks kinda boring until you open him up!! 🙂

Will there be a Tokyo Mater without Oil Stains? I don’t mean the Drift Party Mater as pictured, but the Modified Tokyo Mater.
The collector guide is showing MATER MODERFIED so I guess it will come sometime… hopefully before the end of 2010.
The guide also lists Deluxe#12 Tokyo Mater with Flames, which looks exactly like the comic con Tokyo Mater, with the flames, aggro face, and leaner body, but without the metallic paint, and without the oil stains (and no $12 box). I think this may be the closest to what you are thinking.

Yes these are in case N. Case P has Chuy. Case M had Ice Screamer, Bennie hat Mater and Tormentors biggest fan.
For some reason I have seen plenty of case M and P in stores but not M.
Guess you never know what letter is coming next with these toons.
Odd we’ve had case P at our walmart for at least a month now, last week found the beanie mater and others which is M.
I hope that means we eventually see case N.
What case is iscreamer fan in? I’ve only seen it listed.
You Guys are damn lucky. Here at our Wal-Mart, we have just gotten in Fillmore w/ Organic Gas Can CHASE (which I got… why wouldn’t I?) and the Cars Toons Megasized there are Rescue Squad Helicopter and the Rescue Squad Ambulence. 1 OF EACH.
At Kohls, though, I just got Mater w/ Oil Can CHASE, Tim Rimmer, the Cruisin’ Mcqueen, Matti and Bert 3 Pack, the Vinyl Toupee Hauler, the Mood Springs Hauler, Cho, Komodo, Kabuto Ninja, AND Megasized Bessie… now which one will I be going to for Cars?
Tokyo Mater w/ oil stains has been around here (western mass.) for quite some time. Same with Chuy. And today spotted the holiday ornament cars at a TRU in Connecticut.
