Mattel Hot Wheels: Vintage Racing Hot Wheel Series
The new Hot Wheels Vintage Racing Series looks pretty nice …
The release list looks like this so far …
Of course, the number after a car indicates there will be a paint-version variant release.

I saw these in TRU Salem NH
Yeah, I saw the top one #98 and the bottom left “Sox & Martin” in Chicago recently. Did you see the Petty car on bottom right in MA? That’s the one I would actually like to have. I’m not familiar with the other drivers or racing series (looks like various non-Nascar type racers, right?)
Are these available as individual cars only or in a case? If a case, does anyone have a case # or description? Thanks.
Nope! still cant see.
I can’t either.
No list here either, Met. Broken link perhaps?

Sorry for my ignorance….but obviously King was copied from number 43….Driver name???
Still looks like a Richard Petty car
Jambouk, it seems like you are really asking, so here goes from a novice…. Richard Petty is known as “The King” in real life Nascar racing. He’s retired. Wikipedia has a good bio. Easy to find pictures of his #43 Plymouth Superbird, to which the Cars “King” bares a deliberate resemblance, or more of an homage. The Cars King is legendary and kind, just as the real life King is known for being. Doc Hudson’s race-persona also closely resembles one or more of the famous “Fabulous Hudson Hornet” racers back in the old days, maybe Herb Thomas, or Monty Flock? I’m sure there are other connections to be discovered between Cars racers and real-life racers and/or their cars as well.
Met, can’t see list. Please fix.
Cant see release list
How do they see????
🙂 Dad-gum!
What scale are these?….Really nice!
1-64th standard Hotwheels
These have been out for awhile, gave a bunch to John in Missouris kids a few months ago
kevin,
this is a new series, hard to believe it has been out for awhile already. Are you confusing it with the dragstrip demon line?
Thats possible, But Dragstrip Demon Line has its own cardback that says “Drag Strip Demons” but I have seen the mustangs and others with racing numbers in several Kmart hot wheels days for over a year…..
maybe this is an upgraded series?
