The Disney Store is re-launching in San Francisco at 39 Stockton OPENING TODAY, October 22, 2010.

The CARS section was covered this morning but really, it’s pretty fun and cool everywhere but only if you like fun, toys, and Disney … otherwise, it’s only okay. 🙂

The stores have images projected on these trees. If I didn’t have my camera flash setting set to STUN … you might be actually able to see the images – um, just use your imagination – really, it’s not just a giant white light bulb in the shape of a tree.

Each store has a unique motif projections customized to each store – here the Dragon from Mulan in front of the SF Chinatown gates …

Or Mary Poppins flying by Coit Tower … and for collectors … special items EXCLUSIVE to that city store such as …

Such as SF Mickey …

Plus as the showcase stores, they will carry more collectibles such as the great Vinylmation stuff …

Which I would definitely collect if I was already spending 62% of my budget on something else. 🙂

Though the Toy Story ones are pretty hard to resist.

The re-launch stores will have more on hand …

They’re blind boxes so better just buy the case …

But if you don’t live a Disney Store, you can get them online.

Yea, now available as REAL condiment dispensers … slightly classier than the 300 ketchup packets from Jack in the Box.

Or the Muppet set …

There’s a lot of stuff for little girls … whoops, sorry, I mean little princesses … starting with a cool magic where if you wave a princess product in front of it – it launches clips and talks to you …

(This is not a video clip, BTW – this is the mirror portion of the mirror … stop me if I’m getting too technical).

Hey, look it’s the Princess equivalent of the Motor Speedway of the South …

There are also singing princesses …

More stuff I probably won’t be buying …

Though the plush of the teacups from Beauty look like they would make nice neck pillows …

And speaking of plush, what’s the Disney Store without critters as stuff animals …

After 2 lbs of guacamole and chips, warm Pabst and a 6-3 game in the third quarter, Nemo is just calling out to me as a giant pillow.

Oh oh, I think I can only identify about 18% of the plush on the display here …

I’m okay here – 100% and I think I can do all their dialogue. 🙂

And yea, there’s more – like I said, if you like fun, toys, CARS and Disney – what’s not to like.

Well, other than what don’t you buy?
