Disney Pixar CARS: Boom Studio CARS Comics – Allen Gladfelter Update
First, the latest Allen Gladfelter cover art issues of the CARS comic books are out!
The new series – Adventures of Tow Mater …
And the ongoing regular CARS series. Of course the two covers above are of A&B versions. For CARS issue #7, there is a C cover, the “blank” cover available at SDCC where Allen could draw in some original art for you. You can read all about in the original post.
Unfortunately, Allen is too busy right now to fulfill any individual orders – he’s got two comic series to draw for AND will start doing some writing for CARS issues down the line so … um, just wait a while.

For now, the only chance is to go to a show to buy them directly from Allen but hopefully soon, others will be available online.
The next chance to see Allen in person and get your own personal original art is probably at the NY (City) Comic Con. It’s October 8 to the 10th in Jacob Javits Convention Center – just blocks away from Grand Central Station so accessible by most of the East Coast – just a quick train ride away! Ticket & info is HERE. As of now, Allen is scheduled to attend in the Boom Studios booth but it’s not a 100% guarantee so you should go check out the show anyway but if you are only going to see Allen, check back here for more info as we get closer.
(UPDATE: It looks like Alan Porter – the writer of the CARS Comic will be at the NY Comic Con also. Alan also has on his schedule, the Wizard World Texas Comic Con (Austin) in November – if you’re going, take some pics!).

I NEED THAT BLANK COVER!!
For those who do not know, I have spoken with Alan Porter via email and he confirmed that he is not writing the new Mater series. No offense to Allen G. but with Alan P. being done, unfortunately so are we. 🙁

Allen was GREAT and his work is FANTASTIC!! It was sweet to watch him work and amazing to see how effortless he made it look. Jeanne’s investments will be priceless treasures down the road!! 🙂

allen is too cool!!! 🙂 i love all the art i bought! and cant wait to get them matted and framed! 🙂 and i TOTALLY will get more eventually! 🙂 he is a super nice guy as you can tell from the hundreds of cars he drew on that day! 🙂
That artwork that you bought was AWESOME!!! The colors are so vivid and the hand drawn one is so detailed. I can’t wait to see what they look liked matted and framed. . even if Jeff did try to destroy them with his crazy driving 😉 !
Allen is very talented, and his artwork is a major reason why I love the Cars comics 🙂
