Just to update Uk collectors. Our local Sainsburys is now carrying newer cars. I picked up Clutches Mckay and the Mega Bessie and TJ in our store at the weekend.
What is going on? Nothing for months and suddenly new Cars come to the UK.
Did anyone else notice the rubber tyres Gask-its on sale on Ebay recently? Is there another Kmart day scheduled?
Case H looks awesome!
I spoke to Disney Store UK and they seemed to think we received the cases by mistake….
The boxes they arrived in had UK FINAL LAPS printed on the sides and cars boxes had the multi language stickers on the bottom as per pictures above, can’t see that being a mistake myself. This isn’t the first Disney Store Exclusive either they are the only UK retailer to have Mega Size Toons and the Xmas cars.
(MET: Yea, definitely looks like a specific order …).
I am happy these are finally available in another country. I do truly hope they become available in other stores here as well. The Disney stores would be great. However it seems that this was a recent decision. Why start making cars available somewhere for case G? Approx. 1/2 way through the line.
It seems to me between the recent surveys and changes in distribution Mattel is trying real hard lately to appease collectors. I bet there was concern about so many collectors being unhappy with distribution.
Target still has too many exclusives though and the US is too far behind with the Cars Toons. Hopefully these problems get addresed as well.
How the Storytellers, pitty and hauler sets are only at Target just dosen’t make sense. Especially with the either lack of wanted products and overstock of unwanted Cars at Target.
One of my local Targets currently has 3 full cases of case Fs in stock but no case G in this area at all so far. In a month from now we will have too many case Gs and case H will be found already. Frustrating. It should be interesting to see if case H arrives in the US or UK first though.
I just noticed this in one of my Targets. They had 4 complete sets of Case F today and a few spares on the pegs…PLUS…I checked the back and inventory said they had more. Not sure if that’s more F or G waiting in the wings. The only G I need is Artie but it’s strange that people are not collecting anymore and the Final Laps are finally clogging the pegs for a change. We’re only halfwalf through the 40 cars they promised on the card backs…
I just wish they had the clear back like they do in the latest Lenticulars where you can check out both sides of the car.
ts time us guys in the UK got some final lap…And why not? as we speak english its no hassle as no need to put diff languges on the cards, Found two of artie, bert, flo with tray, and mcqueen with shovel. also i have found seven sets of kmart1 day racers in the last two days, How common are they in the US as i am starting to have a drwer all on its own just for kmart1 racers. Have maybe two three sets spare if i could start trading would be great as i need some older final lap like nick stickers and crashed mood springs, Also bert with camera is a top 5 car…just fantastic bring on some more with cameras.

Fantastic that you are getting FL vehicles, enjoy! Hope they keep coming your way! No artie, bert, flo w/tray or LM shovel in central Ohio – USA as of yet. (They will get here someday)
If you are inquiring about original K-mart day 1 racers (with plastic tires) availability in the USA, only on eBay (or alternate source like Take5aDay.com Trading Forum or equivalent).
No Case G in Florida yet. 🙁 The last ones I found were Johnny and Jamie from Case F. Also, I can’t wait for Case H!

(MET: In regular film making it’s a big deal when a second director is brought in but in animation, not very much … Especially a year out … And at Pixar, unlike at most studios, it’s not as if Lassetter wasn’t involved anyway … So it’s on my list of possible topics but as you’ll notice, ranked somewhere below my post on replacement rubber bands 🙂 ).
CNBC had a Pixar special a couple weeks ago, and said that John Lasseter had to step in to take over “Toy Story 2” as well.
Speaking of “Toy Story”, I wonder if Pixar will tease us with “Cars” in 3D this Fall, like they did with “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2” last year?
I wonder what things look like in 3-D when viewed through Fillmore’s eyes?

I just wonder how many Chase packages it would take to replicate the scene in “Mater and the Ghostlight” where Mater puts dozens of gas cans in front of Fillmore’s place.
Glad to see these show up in the UK at the Disney Store, as US Target distribution is so hit and miss… how hard can it be for all stores to get the new Final Lap products at the same time? I am going to enjoy receiving these from a friend in the UK…

I seem to be seeing a ton of the three packs with Flo and the Twins as wait staff… With trays I mean… Are there lots in the US? Or do people need these?
Finally found case G in South Carolina yesterday, first time we have had anything new in Final Laps since January. I called the same Target that I got them from yesterday and they had another set of the new ones in the back and are holding them for me at customer service.
I have only found two of these so far in separate trips; Its usually all or nothing on these Final Laps for me. I found Shovel McQ two weeks ago, and Flo w/tray yesterday. No extras to even trade with. I am in the Chicago northern burbs.
That would be a perfect selection for case H, but time will tell.
