what does the red symbol mean?
Looks like Chase Cars
Ya, but PC Sarge is not a Chase car. I am trying to box up my cars in order and leave room for the cars that are not out yet… so I am really confused on if I should expect those red cars (mostly chase) to be re-released as lenticular… highly unlikely, I know… but any help you can give would be great!
(MET: Sorry, error on chart – as for previous CARS as CHASE and not lenticular, it seems unlikely they will be out as lenticular since the line will end as of next year about this time and presumably, all the Final Lap CARS will be out as lenticulars, my feeling is that CARS such as Impound LM or Metallic Finish DJ will not be out as a lenticular in the next year but much later? Who knows but for 2010 and 2011, it’s probably safe to guess no).
One more question… #71 is Dexter Hoover… but he has come with a green flag, yellow flag and checkered flag. Are they the same #? Or are they assigned different numbers?
(MET: Yellow & Checkered have their own number – green should also – I might’ve missed it? – sorry).
I just can’t find where he is numbered differently…. all of the Dexter Hoovers are numbered 71. I might be missing something too… ugh!!! This is getting CORN-FUSING!!! 😉

01 – Lightning McQueen – he’s been released as a Final Lap
…and I would put in there a line for the stickerless Chase Van w/Stickers since I’m sure we all have a few of those.
Lightning McQueen is on the list as a Final Lap.
According to the legend on the bottom it should have a gray shield then.
Oh, was the McQueen without a Rust-Eze logo on the spoiler released on FL? I assumed he wasn’t and that’s why it’s blank in the FL column and x’d out in the lenticular column. Help!?

What an odd assortment of Final Lap cars. I agree with everyone else that Lizzie will be nice. God knows we don’t have a backup if something happens to the one that is in the toy box. Did anyone else notice that the tunerz are scheduled for Final Lap releases minus DJ? I guess the non-lenty Chase version was good enough? 🙂 Oops, just noticed Boost wasn’t on the FL list either. Weird assortment…
All these boring press people and camera operators. How about the Bug’s Life clowns? Me thinks those be a little more interesting to those both young and old … arrr?!? What am I doing?

Yeah curious what is the deal with Lizzie and why such a long hiatus. I figured we would see her on the lenticular line for sure, but so far nada. The WOC was last time and that was few and far between due to the WM endcap if I remember correctly.
Lizze is going to be very sought after in her upcoming release as a final lap car. Especially if there is only one Lizze in whatever case she first appears in.
However I am thinking Lizze will probably be released as a lenticular as well. Either in a three pack, single or both. There is also a good chance of Lizze showing up in more than one final lap case as all the other regular characters that have been rereleased in the final lap cases thus far.
Soon collectors should have an easier time getting good old Bessie. It’s been too long since she’s been rereleased.

Lizzie was a very rare Car back in the Desert Series. I was at my local Wal-Mart and I saw the Toy Manager there getting out a batch of some fresh new Desert-Back Cars. I walked up and began to check them out. I came out with a Lizzie and a Sarge, but strangely, there were no Chick Hicks’ in the Case. The Toy Manager began to tell me that I came out with a “lucky find,” because there are only one Sarge and Lizzie in every Case. I asked where the Chick Hicks was, and he said I was the first one to look through them, so he did not know what happened to him. Wierd!
That is weird. When I bought the original desert back cars the day after they were put out. I bought 3 Lizzie’s, one for us, one for a friend and until 2 days ago the other was just stored.
There were at least 15 of each car that day.
Yeah, Lizzie and Sarge were always “Platinum” finds back in the day, and Chick was “Gold”.
In fact, I would say a Lizzie on World of Cars Cardback is the rarest Lizzie release. Just try to find one on ebay.

I could have picked up a dozen of them on clearance a year ago at Kmary…all on super charged cars…bummer…I could have financed a new Cars addition to my house with the sale of those babies…they are doing better than sidewall shine on eBay…LOL
It’s like the KB Toys fiasco with clearanced RB Mater all over again, eh? If I had me a time machine…
Oh, and which bonehead decided we didn’t need Sally on a Final Lap card? Why should she be important when we can get 12 different McQueens or 5 different Ramones. It’s not like she was an important car in the grand scheme of the whole movie story thingamabobber.
I swear I am going to apply for the Marketing division of Mattel (exclusive to Cars). Don’t worry, you all get dibs on the new stuff. MET – I can use you as a reference again, yes???

About 6 months ago one of local Walgreens had about 3 or 4 Lizzies on the pegs. I offered them up in the trading forum and no one wanted them – so they went back and now Walgreens doesn’t have any Cars.
So true. I collect Lizzie’s on every cardback, and almost gave up finding her on WOC. One day I walked into a Walmart that never had anything I wanted, and there she was. This Walmart put out that special Walmart only case very late, in February 08. I found 2 Lizzies on WOC that day. The only time I ever saw her on WOC.
She never came out on Race O Rama, but was available on every other card release.
I remember ordering a whole case of DB through Advance Auto Sales, just in hope that a Lizzie and Sarge would be in the case.
Will Milton be released in Final Lap? I really want him, I haven’t seen one, and I hate lenticulars. I think they were a huge mistake.
I agree with you… but if it does come out as lenticular only, I’m still picking him up… I never saw the case that he came in… why the hell would they release 1 case with him and he’s gone…. Can’t wait to own him…

Has anyone had success at printing this list? I’ve tried but get only about every other page. I reduced the size and got what I think are all the pages (on one sheet of paper) but it”s too small to read. And I’ve tried printing individual “pictures” which didn’t work either. Any help or tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

(MET: You can try placing them ‘into’ another app – even a word processor and resizing it manually until it fits on a 8.5″ by 11″ sheet – should be readable. They are three different files BTW).

Has Timothy Twostroke #78 been released on previous cards? He’s rare and loose on eBay like other Final Laps seem to be before they are officially released.

BTW, did anyone notice that a modern car during the credits follows the same path as Greata from the flashback and has the same paint job…Purple with flames…what’s her name? There are other modern time re-enactments of the flash back…funny…I love Pixar.
