I hope to find this set someday. The lenticulars are okay but I really prefer the real eyed cars.
Yeah..I saw this last error today also! Who will want 3 McQueens in a set???
Went to the “local” TRU (half-hour away) yesterday in search of the 5-pack for my daughter; she collects Mias, Tias and Flos. Didn’t find any, but there were three lenticular 3-packs.
There were still three 3-packs when I left; she can’t stand the googly eyes either! No matter what angle I held the package, Flo always had three eyes; she looked like an LGM from “Toy Story!”
“Toy Story Flo,” anyone?
(Or perhaps “Mutant Flo” from a yet-to-be-released, environmentally-conscious MTT episode called “HAZMAT Mater?”)
Returned 3 lenticular sets, when I found the TRU Gift 5 car packs. Just don’t like the back and forth 4 eyes.
So the lenticular Flo +Mia & Tia is normally $10 for the set of 3. Why did I get suckered into getting the TRU 5 pack with some blue truck and yet another Mater for a whopping $20?
that is a clever way for Mattel to get rid of all those lenticular Maters.
Yeah…just picked a set of Flo’s today that was an error. Came with to Mias and no Tias. I thought it was funny looking when I first picked it up. Take 5 confirms it…it’s an error. Don’t know if it matter much really since they are twins. Who needs another Mater anyway.
Collect them all! LOL

The lenticular set is really nice.
Far be it for me to defend the “repackage/returners,” but I’ve gotta say, I’m starting to understand the frustration that drives them to do this sort of thing. My daughter collects Mias, Tias, and Flos (and Ramones), so this set is a must-have for her. She also can’t stand the googly eyes (and she’s not alone in that, judging by the number of googly-eyed pegwarmers hanging around TRU and Target).
Since they’re not available individually and there’s no non-googly 3-pack, the only way I can get what she wants (without paying off the Ebay scalpers) is to fork over $25 fot the TRU “exclusive” 5-pack that includes yet another Mater and some random pickup truck that was on the screen for 4 nanoseconds during the closing credits!
It should not be surprising that some are gambling on the apathy of store clerks to not notice or care when they return repackaged “sets” to get cars they want without paying for cars they don’t!
Honestly, if the marketing “geniuses” at Disney, Mattel, TRU & Target would knock it off with the “exclusive” sets (and realize just how wierd the lenticulars look) and just sell the bleeping cars, there wouldn’t be a problem!
My daughter will get the 5-pack whenever I can find it at TRU or on TRU.com; if she decides to open it (she left her SDCC Rescue Squad Mater sealed), the extra Mater will make an excellent donor for a custom, and Random Pickup Truck Guy can join her brother’s collection. That’s my solution, anyway…

I originally picked up a set with lenty mater and two mias in it – have since returned that one….
A buddy of mine (thanks Dan!….. or should I say his wife 🙂 ) picked us up two sets. One of them had the lenty mater but everyone else was OK. The other set was good minus the big check marked shaped scratch across Mater’s eyes…..
Otherwise…………..FANTASTIC SET!!!!!!!!!!
I was able to pick up this same pack yesterday with lent. Mater, oh well… still a good set. I also saw the Ron Hover, MQ, Dirt MQ, blue truck and tow- passed on it. (I’m in Phoenix, AZ too)

Reminds me of when Team Dinoco Crew set came with all wide pitties and/or yellow tires instead of the correct wide/ fat/thin and blue tires. Oh, and first again.
