I Had bought the TRU 5 pack with the green flag like 3 months ago. When Met put up the new math/old math and saw Dexter hoover with green flag was going to be released , I returned the box and got my 20.00+tax money back. Now I’m just waiting for it.
Oh dexter with the green flag, i got 4 of him at my target! He was in a singel pack!
If lighting mcqueen with shovel is in the case g then that case already came where i live! Is there 2 chase flos? If not then the one with the tray is the one i saw at target!
Sorry, it is easy to get confused when you are living in dual dimensions like we Mattelerites are now.
I should have said in my post that the LMQs w/shovels that I was talking about are the lenticular versions that have just come out. Same with the Dexters w/green flags.
This post is about the Final Lap versions which should have fixed eyes. I noticed a number of regular lenticular Flos on the pegs, so I am sure those are what you saw.
A minor point, but I was comparing two LMQs w/shovels today. I expected the dirt and grime on them to be decals as the water droplets are on the Wet and Soaked LMQs. On the Shovel LMQs the dirt is painted on. Every one is a variant! Collect them all!!!!
Yeah, Aroldo did a much better job on Artie than Mattel.
Can’t wait to get these! Will we see Hank from TRU boxset as FL single? Don’t really wanna buy the TRU boxset… well maybe if Tia/Mia with tray do not come out as FL singles or lenticular… still too much for the other stuff in there…
With these what’s the total count of FL? (Too lazy to check lol 😀 )Is the total FL still around 40 of FL?

It’s cheaper to buy the TRU boxset than it is to buy them individually….

Another curious detail is that the right rear wheel is different from the other three, as on Vern model and how the different wheels of Axle!
Perhaps Mattel wants a model different from mine!

Aroldo, you are so talented you should work for Mattel. You did a much better job on Artie than Mattel did. Also, any word on when this case comes out? I’m looking forward to it.

Yeah, but Flo with Tray in that TRU boxed set has quite a few other new releases with it. I’ll hold out for that and get a bunch at once. The TRU set with Dexter with green flag on the other hand….not paying $25 or $30 just for Dexter with green flag, since the others are old releases!!!
And by “…release?” do you mean you don’t know IF it will actually be released as FL, or you don’t know WHEN it will be released as FL?

Artie’s card back imgage color is certainly much closer to what we see in the film than the die-cast version hanging in the bubble.
How did Artie end up baby blue?
Another “Mini gone awry” in the paint booth!
Definitely does not look powder blue. In Met’s screen shot above (same thing I see on my TV) there is a bright area on Artie’s hood (right front corner) where he is closest to the TV monitors. The booth Artie is in, is dark with most of the light coming from the monitors. Looks light blue at that illuminated area of the hood to me in frame by frame, but not powder blue.
Mini definitely went awry, not even close! I hope they correct her color and re-release her someday.
Oh, could also get a re-release of Van with Stickers, with corrected nameplate and the sticker applied. I thought Lizzie only placed one sticker on Van, hmmm.
I’ll buy Artie, just like I did wrong color Mini and Van w/out Sticker, because I don’t know that we’ll get re-releases. I try to keep the faith because Supercharged DJ had wrong side stickers, but ROR Impound DJ and Chase DJ were corrected.
“Corrected” Van WITH ACTUAL STICKERS has already been found by some. Met posted an article last week, along with photos.

I commented on Met’s original post that I was hoping Mattel would catch the mistake while Van w/Sticker was still on the production line, I hope the lucky owner doesn’t have the only one out there! I’ll keep looking, as until now I had not been looking for the corrected one in the stores! Thanks again!
Why did Mattel model Artie as a 4-door sedan? He’s a coupe in the movie (see screencap). And who at Disney and Pixar signed off on it?
The same geniuses who signed off on the Vinyl Toupee Hauler case assortment. As Seth & Amy would say, REALLY?!?, one Vinyl Toupee and 2 Shifty Drugs?
Look at the card back image of Artie…..no mid-door seam to make it appear as a 4-door. Amazing what can happen between design and manufacturing if you’re not paying attention to detail.
I just watched that scene in the movie. Going frame by frame in the booth, Artie is cast correctly as a 4 door sedan.
However, Artie is supposed to have fixed vent windows in the rear doors. Donna Pitts and Jay Limo got their fixed vent windows, just to name a couple other Final Lap releases. I guess Artie didn’t need his.

Yeah my son in pretty excited for the camera men. This does look like a good case and I too would love to have a few extra camera men.
This definitely is more to get excited about than the F case with Jamie, Johnny, and McQueen with Cone… Not that case F has shown up in the cities I’ve traveled to in search of Cars…
I wish we could order these from Target.com.
