As the Kmart CARS Day #4 Case Assortment has been revealed at MyKmart, here is your pictorial showcase of the case:
The Online Pre-Sale begins Monday, May 17, 2010 – exact time TBD – details will follow in the next few days.
The case contains 24 CARS at $3.99 each retail or $95.76 – this is the listed case assortment – no absolute guarantee. Shipping & taxes (if applicable) are separate.
The photos do not show the 4 non-Piston Cup racers as lenticulars but they are presumed to be.

Kmart Case #4 spot to order is up… however, its still not open for orders:

Met, what is up with LAME LENTICULAR REPACKS in the case now?? At least for the last assortment, we got “New!” lenticulars of Brand New Mater and that Ramone who hadn’t been released to mass retail yet. The N20 Cola and Mood Springs Pitties are almost TWO YEARS late now! C’mon!!

you are absolutly right when is mattel going to get their heads out of their buts and stop re-releasing the same cars. every car in this case has already been out. you think they would also stop putting regular lightning mcqueen out that is all we seem to find in mass quantity at every store we go to! who can we complain to… you think they could release gaskits or apple or tach-o-mint or faux wheel drive just to name a few of the special promotion cars that were hard to obtain or that you would have to pay a rediculious amount of money for.. If these cars were in the assortment I would go to kmart for the event, but it seems like a big waste of time and no chase is included. no kmart shopping for awhile!

Glad to see some people are happy to be getting some of these. I’ll grab some Transberries, angry Dales and a few others myself.
However it’s day kmart day 5 and 6 that I am personally looking foward to. With the entire SOTS set ( sans Apple maybe?) looking like it’s going to be released with rubber tires through kmart events, days 5 and 6 should be really good.
FWD, Sidewall Shine, Gaskits, Tacomint and the other racers not released yet in rubber tires evenly split between 2 more collector events should be great.
This kmart day should be a nice kickoff to the Summer, Fall and Holiday releases. After last years Junes kmart day there were alot of new releases right up until the late holiday season.
I also think every racer will have a launcher and or also be released in a 4 pack with plastic tires. So collectors will in fact be able to make two full speedway sets with both plastic and rubber tires by next Spring.
As for the haulers and crew chiefs, I don’t know if they plan on releasing them for every racer. Does anyone know? Could it be they are only releasing crew chiefs and haulers only shown on camera? Or have some already been released already that weren’t shown in the movie?
In any event there should be many new releases coming up in the next 6 or 7 months and I would imagine next Winter and Spring in advance of the new movie as well.
Besides the racers, there are so many other releases due out. TRU sets, a bunch more final laps, chase Cars, crew chief sets, haulers, megasizes, 3 packs, 4 packs, even clown cars and Santa car I beleive and the list goes on.
It looks like it going to be a busy year in Cars collecting before we get to start all over again.
Everyone knocking this case assortment should at least be thankful they’re not including Mini Adventures Cars like they did on Kmart Day 1. When they called my ticket to draw 5 packs of Mini’s from the case, it was like walking up to give a speech in front of my high school history class.
I don’t collect Minis, but I’ve heard that the exclusives from that day are now highly sought-after!
Nice assortment, I have most but it will be nice to have them in rubber tire version.
I really want the lenticular copter and sarge haven’t seen them yet.
No Gas-kits, Faux Wheel Drive, Tach O Mint & Apple Car 🙁
Met, is the Dale Jr really the Speedway of the South body style. Judging by the pictures he has the same body as Transberry Juice.
So he is a must get for all of us that had to piece together the set one car at a time.

I will only be getting 4 cars: Dale Jr, Fiber Fuel, Gasprin, and Vitoline.
I wish that they would have put in Gas-kits or Faux Wheel Drive.
My 4 year old son is going to be very excited about this (maybe as excited as I am?)! We still need a Transberry Juice so I’m very happy about the good chances at getting him. My wife will attend with him, as I have to work Saturdays. She’s much more responsible with money so I’m betting we’ll just get one Transberry Juice and whatever one other car catches Sam’s attention most. He loves “Racin’ Tom”, his name for Race Official Tom, so probably him. If you are like me and missed the other KMart days and the first few years of collectiong, then this should be a great opportunity to get these racers without shelling out the dough for 4-packs or launchers, or the jacked up ebay sales of the racers from the previous collector events.
Looks like the plan is to drop back and get the Kmart 1 Cars out with the synthetic rubber tires. I guess maybe Shiny Wax and View Zeen will get synthetic rubber in October. But, a complete set with rubber tires will not be a complete set without APPLE. 😉
OK, San Diego Take5ers. Fellow Take5 member Monica and I have been talking about doing a get together BBQ after the Kmart event. Nothing huge, just some burgers, dogs, swimming, and of course CARS! I can host this event at the clubhouse in my community however, I need to know ASAP how many would like to attend. Looks like I’m only picking up 5 cars. Disappointed with the ones that they threw in as “extras.” I, like others, were hoping for pitty’s or more hard to find characters. Oh well.

The rubber tire cars are cool; but as a long time collector, I would have preferred to see something new. I know this case is good for those just starting out, but Mattel could have have at least thrown us ‘old dogs’ a bone….

I’m happy they’re including some of the older stuff. I know I missed the first Kmart Cars days and wished they’d include some repeats in each case. One or maybe two cars would be good. I’ll be showing up, but I’m planning to buy only 3-4 cars. I know Mattel and Kmart want to tease these special releases out longer, but I wonder if they’re getting to a point where people start to get bored with it. You know there will be another Cars movie out and it would be nice to wrap up the first one before the flood of new cars in Cars 2.
Hmn… case assortment is okay… not that good. It’s nice to finally be able to get a Vitoline & Fiber Fuel Single. I guess the same can go for Gasprin… have 2 of those 2-packs ones. It’s nice to get more Transberry Juice. My original KD1 cars are all sealed. Nice… I prefer Spearmint than the actual name. 😀 Can’t wait…

Really…. Come on. At least throw in a FWD or Gask-its. Same stuff different day for Mattel.. I give it a Meh too. You would think that KMart would use its resources here to try and get Mattel to release at least one car we don’t already have.

I got started late collecting, but managed to get all the early plastic tire racers. Then Disney/Pixar/Mattel switched to releasing single racers with rubber tires. Sure, you can get the plastic tire cars in 4 packs and launchers but too expensive. My kids/grand-kids are interested in having sets of these, so I started collecting the rubber tire racer sets for them.
So, there are some who are dis-appointed with this case content because of the repeats, but to those of us who have started collecting a set or sets of the rubber tire cars, it’s a great thing!

The only truly previously not available car is Dale. The rest is meh. Good to have them with rubber tires, but still, meh.
As an opener I don’t really care if they have rubber tires or not. I think this assortment is kind of lame. But I guess the good thing for me is all I need to get is one Fiber Fuel and I’m done. Maybe a Dale Jr since he has his serious face. They could’ve at least put 1 new Car in the mix.

I went to the event page at Kmart that you made reference to earlier today a couple of times to check it out, and I’ll keep following it.
Some people there posted some things that didn’t make sense to me, so I clicked over to carsthetoys.com to see what all the hype was about / it is informative about the Kmart event but so is T5aD.
In fact, there have been 2 posts related to the event here on T5aD with additional things / 1 in the sub-post area, being Kmart Rewards. The other is the today’s pictorial guide. Maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough but I didn’t see anything like these things at carsthetoys.com
I don’t want to get into who has the better/best/greatest blog site, but I think I’ll just stay here and maybe go there a few times now and then. Everyone hear seems to be o.k. to me, people get upset sometimes and I think they call that life. I understand people’s pain over lenticulars and I know my son loves them, but that doesn’t make this a bad site like someone made reference to over at Kmart. Help me out if you can on that one!

This is a pretty good Case assorment … could do with OUT the 4 repeat lenti’s …. would have been better is they were something NEW of ANY KIND … I am sure everyone will be able to get what they need. 🙂
Christmas comes in June this year! Actually, getting a lot of these “repeats” out of the way this go around just makes the next K-Mart days that much more exciting! –Thinking positively 🙂
