Lightning with Shovel … for the legal beagles – yea, where is non-lenticular McQueen with Shovel – supposed to appear first – held up by volcanic ash?
While conceptually, he didn’t seem too exciting, he actually turned out quite nicely …
In this case, he is shoveling and we are buying it … 🙂

All lenticular, lenticular and lenticular! Where are the normal ones?!

Nascar should not be photocopying the guide and you (ebay guy) should not be selling a digital print of it in the first place… it’s the property of mattel and disney. (One would guess one of them owns the copyright to the CARS 2010 collector’s guide.)

what are you going to say when the guy whom designed the guide complains here that you copied it?
I did a FREE SERVICE for collectors as in GIVE the collectors a temporary guide until Mattel gets their act together and distributes the New ones.
SELLING said scans WOULD BE worse. That hours of work I did was why I was complaining.
They were never intended to be sold.

Very dissapointing that these came out as lenticular first. I guess they’ll be coming out in Final Lap so that they can charge us more.
For those that said there were no more 2010 Collector guides I ran into 6 of them on the pegs at TRU today along with Kozuka?. Also saw TRU has a two-pack exclusive of Color Changers.
I think you saw the 2009 Collector guides. They’re at just about every Toys R Us still.
And I think you saw Yokoza, not Kozuka. Kozuka is a Japanese figure skater.

Yes I did and will give them out for free. unlike the person I just found out DID sell them on ebay. 3 of the buyers came forward and told me who sold My scans, my 9 + hours of scanning and cropping for everyone here.

How come the Final Lap logo has Dexter with a white flag, but that toy has not been released yet? Will that be the absolute last Final Lap Car released?
(MET: There is no actual Dexter Hoover with White Flag scheduled but I’ll go out on a limb and say it might take them all of 82-seconds to create a prototype? 🙂 ).

Couldn’t Mattel at least have changed the flag on the card back from yellow to green so it matches the die-cast?
From start Hoover should have been released with the 3 flags in the package since this part is removable no? Of course not a g$$d idea for Mattel…
When Mater took that line for himself, it end up “I’m a precision instrument of speed and AROMATICS!”
I guess Mater had worked out a sponsorship with a bathroom spray manufacturer to deal with his little “release” when he pulled his Tow Mater sign up straight with his tow hook! “Oh, Lord!” 😉
Two thoughts: First, you can buy the lenticular Dexter Hoover, throw away the truck and keep the green flag. Second, I really expected the McQueen w/ shovel to have a hook to pull Bessie!
I suppose you are right about the green flag. I will just give the flagless Hoover to the boy.
In the movie McQueen didn’t fix his mess with Bessie behind so I don’t see why he should have the hook… McQueen with Tar should have it tough.
So is there any hope that we will see the single, non-lenticular of Dexter Hoover with the green flag as a non TRU exclusive box set?
It really seems that things have picked up in the last few weeks with lots of new stuff coming out.
I also see that they have changed the chase sign from the aqua to the orange so you can’t miss it.
With just over a year before the release of Cars 2, they’d better get things in gear if they’re going to complete the Cars (1) line so they can promote Cars 2 well before it’s release.
Look at Toy Story 3 merchandising. They’ve been filling the shelves with TS1 and TS2 stuff for months, most of that went to clearance pricing, now there’s a FLOOD of TS3 stuff hitting the stores, with characters we haven’t even seen in action yet(other than trailers for the film).
My FIRST thought: I hope my jaw will likewise drop when I find Bessie in the wild!
