Found Yokoza at TRU in SoCal
I found just found Yokoza and Dragon Lighting (with oil splatter or something like that) at my local HEB (Grocery Store in Missouri City, TX) . . .maybe another place to look if you have them in your area

Glad you like these as these were some of the last DPC product I worked on. Still remember seeing the first rough storyboard and thinking how awesome these would/could be and they are.
Ninja KnockOut set should coming soon if it’s not already out there. Did several playsets after that one before leaving the line.

I wish you could come back to make more awesome cars. Can you please tell me some of the last ones you did and more recent ones done by other people? I love these cars. Maybe Matell can re- redirect you. Though it’s unlikely, I hope so.

Pretty torn about this one – This one by far is my favorite. I have all the other TOONS sets, but have decided that I am going to part with them. I am going to stick with the original movie and this one.

If you go to http://carstoys.co.uk/ and go to products, you will find a tab that says cars toon showroom. It has a picture of Mater thinking about Tokyo Mater. Click on that and a small screen will come up. Click enter showroom and look at the cars.

off topic, but there is a RCK on ebay with lenticular eyes.
Is this a mistake, or are the lenticulars invading the Mega/Deluxe line now. If this is true, this is a first for the Mega-Deluxe line of Cars.
Anyone know?
(MET: The megasize line for now will still be non-lenticular. My feeling is that Richard Kensington is from the three-pack with Marco Axelbender (also lenticular in the 3-pack will get a separate megasize release) and Fred (lenticular) – presumably coming in a couple months. If we’re lucky, the next 3-pack case will be two of each of the three new ones … who’s willing to bet their 401k on it? π )

hmm…I DO like the otto variants. dang it!
I told myself a month ago I was not going to buy any more Cars Toon items except for maybe Maters… Then I saw pictures of Cho and Kabuto Ninja and a friend in the UK was able to get them for me… My wife, who usually doesn’t care for my obsession with Cars, took one look at Cho yesterday and said that our granddaughter will really like that one (our granddaughter plays with Chuki, Sally, and Mrs. The King)… So now, I’m not going to buy any more Cars Toon items other than those in the Tokyo Mater series. Hopefully the pegwarmers from Dr. Mater disappear soon… Other than Yokoza and McQueen with oil stains, my Tokyo Mater Cars have come from overseas…
I still plan to concentrate on the Cars from the movie and hope that we find them sooner rather than later… and look forward to the Kmart 4 pre-order day…
These are AMAZING!!!!!!! My kids will LOVE these …. and so will I … just clear the old stuff from the pegs … WHAMMOOOO instant money!!! π
also, am i right in thinking that tuner mater with the big spoiler (and any variant wherein big spoiler is present) would be megasized,
and drift party mater (and any variant wherein big spoiler is not present) would be regular?
(MET: For Mater, yes … though the 4-packs might be an exception).
tokyo van has wrong colour eyelids…kinda hope they change it before releasing it, looks like the same colured ones they would use for regular van…
Great stuff, now just to get rid of the older Cars Toon stuff to make room for these and I bet they would fly off the shelves.
My local Wal-Mart couldn’t move the old Toons when they priced them at $2.50 a few weeks ago, I think it would take $1.00 each to eliminate the pegwarmers.

My sons and I don’t collect the Toons cars, but these look so different, we might start.
I’m just afraid…. very, very afriad…. of how many they’ll be in the Tokyo collection while I’m looking for new launchers and new haulers and Final Lap cars and missing cars from long ago coming out as bound-bound-and-rebounding eyes and new sets from TRU or Target… then the new movie… damn you Mattel! (imagine Planet of the Apes scene in front of the Statue of Liberty with Charlton Heston but subbing the Statue of Liberty with Damaged Fabulous Hudson Hornet [which I’m sure they’ll release as a chase that’ll we’ll *have* to drive around for five days finding…]) =-)
