Disney Pixar CARS: Go Pound Sand … Okay! As Long As It’s Moon Sand!
I believe actual moon sand is very, very expensive so I’m guessing this is one of those ‘cute name’ things …
I could be wrong – did we go back to the moon to scoop more sand up while I was working on a CARS website?
So, yea, I’d like to Radiator Springs sculpted in this stuff … in scale – send pics!
Man I wish this were edible – looks likes strawberries & butterscotch … humm, butterscotch …
Besides, McQueen, Mater & the Gas sign, the other four molds look like a tire, a cone, a gas pump and what’s that yellow thing? Stanley? Is he lemon flavored, nom, nom, nom … um, sandy and gritty just like home made mash potatoes …
Something tells me ‘squishable’ is un-translatable to French?
Never dries out? Incroyable! How is that possible? What kind of freakin’ thing is this? Is it radioactive? When I was growing up, I had to spit in my sand to keep it wet … kids today!
It is available at Amazon-Target. If you love it – there are dozens of other sets – none other part of CARS though. So in this case, you’re safe to collect them all! Now, go pound some moon sand! You know you want to!
Thanks for the pics and heads up, “LCC-20.”
It gets between the tile joints and is really hard to clean. All in the bin now although it was nice to play with. Our set came with a mixer truck that you put the models into to break them up for reuse. It was fun to see the little construction workers being ground up feet first! Lost time accident anyone!
Hilarious post, Met! Made my day…
Agree with the Moon Sand haters! My kids had this stuff; it gets everywhere, just like Play Doh — but unlike Play Doh, it never dries out into nice little crumbs that you can vacuum up. Imagine a carpet full of wet sand — forever!
It seems squashable is not translatable either.
the CARS sand art is much better . you can find it at target
Next product, Cars Mars Dust!
Must have went to Mars too, for the red sand.
I hate moon sand too, it ends up everywhere and is hard to clean up :(.
Probably best to play with it at the beach, for easy cleanup? 🙂
Now, if it had molds for Gask-Its and Tach-O-Mint???? 😉
For $39. it better be real Moon Sand!
It’s $10 at Target. 🙂
‘Desert Raceway’ … hmmm … me thinks we may see some more of these in the future.
How bout some molds for Radiator Spring Shops.
looks like good reviews too ..
“Whoever came up with Moon Sand should be shot. It is a huge mess! Go with Play-Doh, Modelling Clay, anything but Moon Sand.”
right on, 5oclockshadow…
Moon Sand Sucks. huge Mess. original release of the product a few years ago was toxic. I can’t believe they still make this junk.
If I see people browsing the moon sand section at target, I always walk by, mumbling to them that it makes a huge mess…HA!
