Yes, I did on Long Island NY. I read in an earlier post that 2 sets come in a case. Well looks like I got the last set and left Octane Team Set on the shelf. I guess what my son doesnt see wont hurt him.lol Too much $$$$
Do you know if it is the same pitty that is in the crew pack? I am just going for the crew packs…don’t want the team haulers.
Hi Mara, I think it is; so if you get both the crew pack and the pitty pack then you would end up with 2 twin pitties.
not sure about that, crew pack may have pitty w/ air compressor gun, team hauler pitty may not have gun??
How come this 4 pack cars is regular Eyes now ??? .. Thought that the latest edition of 4 packs were Lenticulars??
dealornocar, that’s an intriguing question! Do we know why the googly-eye racer 4 pack with ViewZeen/Chick/King/McQueen appeared suddenly in the middle of the release “schedule” for these classic fixed-eye racer 4-packs? I’m hoping it was a sales test and that it failed. It seems like the View-Zeen lent 4-packs just sit on the shelf. I have this fantasy that they are then sent back to Matty, who then melts them into liquid die-cast metal – they’ll need more liquid metal of course to pour out the rest of the fixed-eye racers I’m lacking, and soon (Dale, Tach-O-Mint?)…. Anyway, even though my Cars fanatic, Sam, doesn’t have ViewZeen, and the Ebay price for the fixed is well above the cost of this lent 4 pack, I just couldn’t get myself to pull the trigger. By the way, has anyone seen the 4-pack with Easy Idle on a shelf yet? Can’t wait for that (guess I’m a Cars fanatic too)….

I’d still like to see a package with the Racer, the Crew Chief w/ Pit Stand, 1 or even 2 Haulers, 5 to 8 Pittys, and several toolboxes.
For the Leakless, Dinoco, and HTB sets, I added the crew chief and 3 pittys from the Team Crew set to the box with the Hauler/Racer/Pitty to create a super set. I have the Octane Gain items (including the launcher) in 2 slots of a Carney Plastics CP-21/24 display case and will be going that route here on out…
I’d love to see a subscription available where we could order the super sets online, maybe one a month, and not have to worry about trying to find the items in stores and creating my own sets.
Oh, and I want sponsor tents as well!

I saw the photos of your collection that you posted on another site… that’s when I decided to change how I was displaying my haulers and launchers… I have a second Carney Plastics CP-21/24 display case in transit. Thank you so much for sharing the photos of your collection and providing the inspiration.
is there any rhyme or reason to these releases other than to force the customer to buy multiple cars. buy this set to get the hauler and new pitty, but most already have racer. then you’ll buy the crew set to get other pitties and crew chief. this really is absurd.

I’ve not seen the Team Octane Gain crew set in Indiana or Ohio… And I only saw the Team Octane Gain hauler set at 2 stores, one time each. I agree – the HTB/Dinoco/Leakless sets are not selling in either the Team Crew Set or Hauler set format at all… Target needs to put them on clearance to make room for new ones…
Now if we could just get someone from Target management to read the sites to learn how frustrated they are making us and to do something about it.
All remember, there have been a few loose Bumper Save crew chiefs on eBay. So guess what the next Target exclusive will be……..
I thought the 4-pack had been out for a while now? I’ve been seeing that one for a couple of weeks.
I will have to check all the targets by me on the way home today.
Regarding the Team set, I think I’d rather have the hauler in his own packaging and get the Pit Crew set if/when that comes out. I hate buying a racer I already have and a pitty that will probably be duplicated in the Pit Crew set.
That would be nice! Unfortunately, the pitty sets are ALSO clogging the shelf …. yet to see Octane Gain Pitty/Chief set anywhere …. near to none on ebay …. what the heck … come on Target …. 🙁
I have only seen the OCtane Gain NIGHT Skyline Box Hauler Set at 1 Target in the 10 that I have visited regularly over the last 6 months. All of my shelves are FLOODED with Chick, Leakless and Dinoco sets. I do not feel good about finding this anytime soon … on the other hand, I DID find the racing 4 pack …. and picked it up for a friend. 🙂
