Pallisades Toys who made the Muppets action figures also had the license for Sesame Street. I believe that they were very close to full production before they went belly up some years ago.
It is too bad that they could not have furthered the Muppets line as well as produced those lovable Sesame street figs. I’m sure adults would have gone crazy too for them!
I loved Sesame Street as a kid, but my little guys never really got into. Maybe becasue I find the new characters like Elmo and Zoe so annoying?
The amazing thing about the show is its enduring appeal over 40 years now. I distinctly remember watching it as a kid, and now both my kids love it too!

I had a giant Snuffleupagus stuffed animal when I was little. Don’t remember what happen to it though. I think our dog ate it. My absolute favorite Sesame Street characters are the aliens, the Yip Yips. YIP YIP YIP! They still make me laugh every time I watch them! 😀
One of the funniest things I ever saw as a kid on TV was when they tried to answer the phone — didn’t they end up eating it?
