It’s definitely out – found by Daniel S. at a Target in NY.
He thinks the case assortment is: 2 Sidewall Shines, 1 Clutch Aid, 1 Lightning McQueen and 1 Dirt Track McQueen – sounds about right as the oddball design of launchers requires an oddball packing.
Other Lightyear Launchers scheduled.

Once again, big thanks are due to TFAD! I read this post a day late (Friday) and decided to stop by Target on my way home from work. Usually it takes two weeks to a month for the product to show up here in the wilds of Indiana after I read about it. Not this time! There was Sidewall Shine, big as you please. Found Sidewall at Target on 183 in Fort Worth, TX. There were two, I took one and left the other.

This is the problem with collecting anything these days… I did the whole Buy 5-get-1 thing and didn’t get anything for Sidewall Shine. Stupid TRU ran out. Good for the people who didn’t get one or started collecting after that.
Wonder if he had bought the MSOTS I wonder how pissed off he would’ve been…. LOL 😀
It’s always stated in the promo “fine print” that no other releases of the same car will take place for 1 year after the end of that promo.
After that, it’s fair game to bring it back to the marketplace.

Well, if you think about it, Gask Its is no different a Promo than
N20 Cola, Sidewall Shine, or Faux Wheel Drive and the first two are now
released and Faux should be coming in a launcher too, so if you wait,
Gask Its will come around.
There is no way that Gask-its sold out in France, so my money is on TRU’s in the U.S. doing the 5-for-1 promotion again this Spring.

man missed this siedwall but i did find clutchaid .well should i say my mom found clutch aid laucher way out in oregon. still havn’t found a clutch aid or a sidewall shine in west michigan tho

The original was the Speedway Sidewall Shine not the TRU promo version.
I think this would have been a pretty exciting announcement if Mattel didn’t flood the market with the TRU promo first.

I actually found this one already at Target in Philadelphia. It’s very rare that we get any release so soon. I’m not a big fan of the launchers, though. Again, it comes down to money. $10 for a new car with a launcher as opposed to $4 for a single. I hate paying $6 for a launcher when my son already has several of them.

I bought 2 sets of N2O Cola and Sidewall Shine promo Cars off eBay in December for $41.04 shipped… at that price, I don’t need to buy the Lightyear Launcher… Great find, Daniel!
