Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Chase CARS Go Lenticular?

Submitted for your evidence from “Mike-1202mcgowan.”

Yes, it’s what you think it is …

Yes, it’s clearly lenticular Bling Bling Lightning McQueen.

It’s the CHASE version with the new all gold* wheel rims + Piston Cup.

* Not actual gold BTW 🙂

So, it looks like after these (including the ones already out) …

Chase Next

The CHASE CARS after that look like they will all be lenticulars?

It does make sense in a packaging aspect – since it was confusing people that there were non-lenticular CHASE CARS in a lenticular case packs and NOT in the non-lenticular Final Lap cases …

So, the following will appear to be TRUE-CORRECT from here on out.

Non-lenticulars (Classics) CARS will ONLY be available as FINAL LAP series CARS only.

Final Lap CARS are ONLY available in the US.

Final Lap CARS are ONLY available at Target in the US (at least for now, this is still 100% true).

CHASE CARS will be lenticular ONLY soon.

CHASE CARS & CHASE cards will be lenticular and essentially available at EVERY retailer.

Peanuts are not technically nuts but legumes.

Clear – all clear?

Full listing of announced 2010 Chase CARS are HERE.

Thanks for the pics, “Mike-1202mcgowan.”

Found this chase Bling Bling McQueen at Wal-Mart this morning

  • John in Missouri says:

With too much gold and googly eyes, this one should be called “Flavor Flav McQueen”.

  • Daniel says:

What happened to all the comments???

  • Hostile Takeover Banker says:

See what happens when everyone complains and bursts the comment threshold. The Godfather of Cars has spoken and put things right. “lighten up”. 😉

Always nice to hear from you Acura. I hope things are well for you.

  • Hostile Takeover Banker says:

We can all be quite now. The Godfather of Cars has spoken and rightly put things in perspective. “Lighten up” 😉

Nice to hear from you Acura. I hope things are well for you.

  • acuransx says:

    BB,

Nice try but been there done that with lenticular He-Man figures…… I designed a MOU figure called Rotar with lenticular artwork on his chest. Sweet…………………

Shortly thereafter I designed the entire Marvel Secret Wars line with each figure containing a lenticular shield that was customer assembled. That was pert near 23 years ago when I was just a Mattel pup 🙂

    • 5oclockshadow says:

that’s pretty cool . I had Rotar as a kid. He was my favorite he-man character after Trap Jaw ….. but because he could spin and knock stuff over , not the lenticular chest.

I still have my Secret Wars Iron Man and Doctor Doom. Someone stole my Wolverine, and I lost the rest over time. The Secret Wars shields I threw away with the packaging. I didn’t like them.

man … didn’t realize I was anti-lenticular before Cars. lol

    • buckland-blowouts says:

      Touche!

Maybe, just maybe, one day I’ll write and book……………..from HeMan to Mattel/Disney/Pixar?Cars. The Real Deal 🙂

You guy’s are great. Go Mattel/Disney/Pixar/Cars. Sound familiar?

Hang in there peeps as Mattel prides itself in delivering great product, remember, no company is perfect. Look what happened to AIG. Leman Bros…………come on now.

We’re just make great fun toys, lighten up 🙂 Miss you knuckleheads 🙁

    • Fiddleheads says:

      No…never a dull moment here on T5. 🙂

Through thick, thin and even lenticulars….as long as Mattel keeps making these awesome rolling pieces of art, my son and I will definitely keep collecting them!

We miss you too acuransx. 🙂

  • buckland-blowouts says:

Easy to find them chase cars here in Canada – When they do finally come out…

Two DJ’s in one week!!! I guess people really DON”T know that behind those abominations of a toy called tenticucraps, are sweet, mild-mannered, tasty, RANSBURGY Chase Cars!!!

I long for the day that Matty and his band of doofusses can the moving’ eyes business and get back down to real Pixar Cars!

  • Movie73 says:

I have been a reader of this site for at least a couple of years, shortly after I started buying the Cars. I have, as best as I can tell, one of each of all of the regular releases, haulers, Mega-sized, Toons, Mini’s, Chase’s, Storytellers, all three Blu-ray related, the SDCC, basically all of the 1/55 scale related vehicles. I am an opener, so I don’t usually go for a vehicle simply because the package is different, or chase, like the chase Chuki package. I also will buy a three or four pack to get one new car, and will give away the extras to someone, or maybe try to a sell them on ebay as a group of opened cars.
I have seen comments on this site from a lot of people, some who do not appear to comment anymore. Maybe they gave up the hobby or just don’t bother to post anymore. But one thing I have noticed is the negative comments really started to happen after the “Crazy-eyes” appeared. And that is fine, this is a good place to discuss the finer points of collecting Cars.
I just wanted to explain my interest in the hobby before I make my observation on lenticulars. I really don’t care if they are lenticular or not, if it is a car I do not have I will buy it. And as far as my local WalMarts, Targets and Toys-R-us, the seem to sell fine, with the usual suspects being the peg-warmers.
Thanks, and I do agree the distribution is completely messed up.

(MET: I just want to note that all opinions are welcome as long as you are not attacking anyone personally. You are free to offer your opinion on any CARS topic … just remember if you’re planning on putting your Apple, Gaskits and tach o Mint in a blender, start up the camcorder first).

  • Let’s realize that Mattel is not making these CARS just for us collectors; predominant sales has to be for the little children as purchased by Mom and Dad, on a world-wide basis. And I am sure Mattel marketing thinks that buggy-eyed cars are just as good if not better to Mom & Pop and little Timmy/Jose/or Demir. With Lents, Mattel continued to sell to new mainstream customers, made a new exclusive at Target, and got some or many collectors to buy the same old product at least one more time. Win-win for Mattel.
With just Collectors Mattel would not be able to hold the market open at Target or Wal-mart or where ever.
In their eyes Mattel saves the collectibles for Kmart Day and Matty/SDCC.
Collectibles to Mattel are an itch on the backside that they occasionally scratch for PR reasons.
The genius move would be to reissue all CARS again with synthetic rubber tires, not just the racers. Why not add another $1.00 to the price while your at it and call them a special (albeit unlimited) edition.

  • WillsCars says:

Where are people coming up with the idea that a majority hates Lenticulars? The same small group of people complain about them every time the subject comes up. Twenty or so people out of over 2,000 that have signed up here is no where near a majority.
As far as Mattel not listening to collectors why would they? They sell these things to millions of parents/kids and there are maybe a few thousand collectors. People have said that Lenticulars aren’t selling. How do you really know? Does anyone here have Mattel’s sales records for Painted eyes and Lenticulars? Even if Leniculars aren’t selling as well as Painted eye cars that is to be expected. Sales on items related to a movie will always be higher just after a movie comes out. It’s amazing that CARS items still sell so well. You should be happy there are so many parents/kids keeping this die cast line going.

    • deal or no cars says:

WillsCars.. you must be new collector or blind to see that Lenticulars aren’t doing good at all ..

WHY ARE THE TOONS made in regular eyes versions ?????????? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???????

TOONS = more for kids .. do I get something wrong here

Making 300 characters from the original movie .. first ones are for Kids .. (yeap they need 15-25 main characters .. not 300??)

Does Mattel understand that 300 characters is more like an adult collection! lolllllllllllll

Of course they have no idea Adult COLLECT THESE.. this why they sold the SOTS 300$ on RLC 2 years ago .. This set was meant for Christmas gift .. Hey Son here’s your SOTS set you asked Santa ! Happy Christmas …

SO why change the #1 selling toys Worldwide, or now should we say #1 in US only but until ….

    • Mr. T says:

      Make that 21………..

    • kdthomas says:

All you have to do is go into any store selling them and see how long they sit on the shelf. One of my Wal-Marts has had the same 200-300 lenticulars on the pegs since before Thanksgiving compared to me seeing around 30 new Final Lap cars at Target yesterday. I picked up a few. I went back tonight and EVERY Final Lap car was sold.

    • Ryan says:

You can’t say “out of over 2,000 that have signed up here” because the majority of them don’t comment here. There’s not 2,000 people here making comments. The majority of people that actually comment definitely do not like lenticulars.

  • Daniel says:

Does anyone have a pic of the back of the card to see what exactly that asterisk means?

  • Daniel says:

Mattel doesn’t read these forums. The majority of us hate Lenticulars and have said so for months now. We’ve also been saying for years how the case contents suck.

Nothing has changed because no one at Mattel cares.

    • Monica says:

Well, they may listen occasionally. The case packing for final lap is significantly better in ratio of new casting to old.

    • I-am-speed says:

Let’s not forget that we lost our long-time Mattel person that moved on to other things……to say that no one cares is not 100% true.

Everyone here knows who I’m referring to, don’t they? I believe his TFAD ID is/was Acuransx? 😉

      • Daniel says:

He was around at the dawn of Lenticulars and could easily have told the marketing “gurus” our thoughts.

But these guys are geniuses. What do WE know?

  • L8rM8r says:

Man one busy day and I miss out on all the fun. I was hoping the lenticular chase King that was floating around on ebay was a mistake, but I guess this is the real deal and going forward we are going to see lenticular chase cards. That is too bad. I don’t hate them as much as others, but don’t love them enough to collect them all. My son does not seem to care that they eyes move either. So here we are again in a place that Mattel wants everyone to go, but no one is leading the charge.

  • John in Missouri says:

Wow, nearly 100 comments on this post already — you’ve certainly touched a nerve Met!!

  • babychristianscars says:

Why would anyone buy it? Because kids love the moving eyes and its a way for them to own the complete collection.

I have also found another wonderful use for lenticular cars. Working with a child almost 7 non-verbal and has traits of autism. He does not look at you when asked and doesn’t track.

However if you take one of these cars and show him for example watch doc, see his eyes move. Now he’s watching you can you watch him.

WOW eye contact is happening he is intrigued to sit and watch this car over and over again. Sadly I have more open/close eyes than moving eyes but I’m still hunting. He plays really nice with the few I have but I’m hunting to find him some moving eye cars of his own.

So for an out of the box use I love these cars.

As for the reason I buy the lenticulars they are a disney cars, I own most of the collection and its fun to find something new for my sons collection. If he was alive it would be our special time going to buy a new car. He too would have loved the interaction of the toy.

  • applefinatic says:

Why would anyone want to buy this Lenti-crap

  • I-am-speed says:

I see several complaints about not being able to find Final Lap cars.

I listed 4 sets of the 3 “must haves” from Case C on the Trading Forum, only 2 people took me up on them, so the rest went back today. 🙁

  • jmularczyk says:

On another note can anyone explain to me why Gaskits is still getting these kind of prices – really people?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Disney-Pixar-Cars-Gask-its-French-Promotion-with-baggie_W0QQitemZ180458075515QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2a0423b57b

      • ERNO2 says:

Gaskits price will crash if they do a general release, just like with N2O Cola when it came out as a rubber racer and Sidewall Shine and Faux Wheel Drive which I think are scheduled to be launchers.

        • I-am-speed says:

That is very true. The problem is, if or when it will happen?

Look how close we were to getting Gask-Its as a TRU promo, only to have the promo completely disappear within days of the start of the promotion?

In the mean time, Gask-Its will draw top dollar on the open market. Whatever a person is willing to pay for a given item, on a given day.

        • gipsy_02 says:

Well, I guess we will not see Gask-Its that soon. All the other ones like Sidewall Shine are already announced to be released as a launcher. And never forget that there ws this deal that a promo car is not going to be released at least one year after the end of a promo. So we will not see Gask-Its in any other release before September 2010, maybe later. And many people do not want to wait any longer on this car. They want their sets to be completed. Mayn people got used to the fact that apple will perhaps never reappear and they do have to take a custom. Tach-O-mint will appear anyhow someday. Sooner than Gask-Its I think. and that might be the reason why people are willing to pay such prices for the original one.

        • kdthomas says:

Why anyone would pay even $50 for that car is beyond me. It’s not even in a package so it just looks odd to me unless you were going to open it anyways. I’ll be glad to wait. So far the average wait from the time something is announced to when I find it on the pegs is averaging 1 month. That’s no big deal. I get excited when I finally find them, stare at them for 10 minutes to inspect every detail, update my checklist, then lump it in the closet with the rest for my son’s collection. I don’t believe in this “gotta have it now” culture that Americans are turning into. Sure, it would be nice to always go to the store and find the car you want but then our collections wouldn’t be worth anything. I hate lenticulars, my son can’t tell the difference, and they seem to make the non-lenticulars more valuable.

          • Murpheeie says:

I think the feeling is that if Gask-Its is ever released it will be lenticular so these guys are going up in value. There was a time a few months ago that you could get one for $100 to $120 but that moment has passed. They are only toys at the end of the day but Gask-Its is beautiful and I have detailed Richard to protect him!

  • Now that’s just ridiculous! Are you kidding Mattel? Is this a rumor? You better not ruin Chase Ransburg The King and the others like that when they come out! This better be fake news! MAKE THE NEWER CHASE CARS NON-LENTICULAR RIGHT NOW!

  • pwschuh says:

I suspect that this is a ploy by Mattel to get collectors hooked on the lenticulars. As in “Gee, I had to have this chase car and it’s lenticular. Well, since I have one lenticular, they’re not so bad, maybe I should get the rest.”

Lenticular Chase – the “gateway drug” to lenticular madness. Just say no.

    • jmularczyk says:

I can tell you that I’m getting so bored not finding anything new that I’m getting close to jumping in and picking up all the lenticular cars made so far. It might be fun to hunt them again.

  • keelan21 says:

Wonder why they started to make these??
I think its a bad mistake but who knows

  • racerguy says:

Well, looks like Mattel is successfully moving away from what worked, sold, and was loved to what is not selling and is generally not liked.

  • keelan21 says:

Yeah for us custom cars designers, it not fun working with the lenticular cars. I prefere fixed eyes anyday. If anyone needs any custom made contact me @ keelanlong21@yahoo.com
You can also visit my ebay store keelans kustoms as well.

  • beast1997 says:

there is a guy on ebay selling this car plus race tom ,ferrari, sally, rpm, all on the lenticular night card so i guess the next case content is wrong as well..

  • beast1997 says:

what i get out of this could mean that all the chase cars will be lenticular after the 4 ransburg chase cars are out.or there doing both as variations to drive us crazy looking for them.

  • kdthomas says:

Another thing to note is you can tell this package has been opened if you look closely. Very easy to pop wheels on and off. Just sayin’… 🙂

    • Hostile Takeover Banker says:

They did a great job of creating a new card back. The card clearly shows “Piston Cup Chase”.

      • kdthomas says:

Didn’t say the cardback was false but if they would continue with their branding it would say “Look, My Eyes Change” somewhere on the cardback like all the others. This could actually be a true Chase car, but swapped with another car. Did you not see this was an issue of people swapping opened cars and taking them back to the stores a few weeks ago?

  • Scandell says:

    Trying out my new Gravatar.

  • kdthomas says:

I’m going to have to say that this story is false. Why, because if you look at the 2010 Collector guide and all the cars that are already leaked that are designated as Chase are not lenticular. Just have a look at this picture that Met posted from the guide:

    http://www.takefiveaday.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Book-Car.jpg

These are clearly marked as Chase and they are not lenticular. The asterisk more than likely just means that this is a Chase Lenticular version. Just like the 3-packs and the 4-pack of racers are now in lenticular form they are just moving down the line of releasing both versions. I wouldn’t be surprised if they start re-releasing Storyteller’s as lenticulars (praying that they don’t).

    • Edge says:

The pictures in the guide are most likely from prototypes, not mass-produced versions. What would prevent Mattel from producing the “Chase” cars in the guide as lenticulars? The guide is not a legally binding document.

    • Ryan says:

I concur. When these are released, it will most likely still be non-lenticular, or they will make 2 versions.

  • flophunter says:

well looks like the lenticalur line is really going to take over. i don’t collect lentectaluars and never will. i think they should keep the old line going more. but that is just me. my little sweetiest love the lenticalurs 🙁
    thx happy hunting

  • NO Lenticulars says:

I’m almost with Matt above, almost done, and I’ll make darn sure I don’t get sucked into “collecting” Mattel toys my kids take a likeing to again.

After the Final Lap series I WILL NOT BUY ANYMORE.

Oh, and it’s very easy to see where all this is leading: I will buy an extra “Race Damaged Mood Springs” because I’m sure it will be the last standard or classic eyed car produced.

If we think Mattel will not cancel the the Final Lap series after they finish the back of the current card, I think we’re sadly mistaken.

    • Cars 2 will come out by then!

    • BMW says:

So what makes you think Wrecked Mood Springs will be the last non lenticular car? There has been no indication of what you are saying at all.

      • Everything else will all be non-lenticular.

      • NO Lenticulars says:

@BMW, I am simply drawing a conclusion based on the way Mattel has gone with this line.

Hopefully MET will be following up in the next few weeks and be able to say the Final Lap series will for sure be completed.

You stated “there has been no indication of what you are saying”. I think the Final Lap cars being only available at Target, low number of case shipments, and now chase cars going crossed eyed is a pretty good indication.

You see it will soon cost too much for Mattel to continue a seperate line of classic eyed cars. I hate to say it but I don’t think getting a couple thousand collectors to buy 200-300 cars makes them nearly as much money as getting 1 or 2 color changers in half of the households in America.

        Just my .02 🙂

        • BMW says:

          To No Lenticulars:
What I meant was the comment you made about not seeing any classic cars beyond Wrecked Mood Springs. We have seen pics already from HK of Flo with Tray, Tim Rimmer, Artie, McQueen with Shovel, One eyed Mater, Nick Stickers, Johnnie and Jamie, all part of the Final Lap Series.
So I think it will be OK, we will see all the cars planned for classic painted eyes on Final Lap. Those cars are already in the hands of our back door vendors. There is no indication that these will be cancelled.
And Mattel continues to sell the Toons, and Haulers, Crew Chiefs and Pitties on classic eyed line.
I can’t see them abandoning a line that has brought them this far and made Cars one of the top ten toy lines. No one can be that short sighted.

  • John in Missouri says:

I just had a horrible premonition — what if everything from “Cars 2” will be Lenticular?

  • Roswell says:

is ANYONE at mattel actually paying attention to anything????
i mean CMON!!!!! everything they seem to do lately seems to be so they can ruin the francise!!!!

maybe they should pop in here once in a while and actually see what people want!

and its not googly eyed colour changing repeativly repeativly released plastic crap!

  • TarheelBill says:

There’s only one thing wrong with this post. “Non-lenticular (classics) CARS will ONLY be available as FINAL LAP Series Cars only.” The word “AVAILABLE”! We could only wish! 🙂

  • CaptainChunk says:

Haven’t seen a Chase car since The King w/Cup as it is. So now I won’t need to bother looking at the mainline whatsoever. These started to take a major downturn when they introduced Chases in the first place, this is just the final nail in their coffin.

  • babychristianscars says:

I like the lenticulars, but this still sucks. I want chase cars to be normal.

I wonder if they will be easier or harder to find?

  • Aaron & Jeanne Scriven says:

    ughhh… this sucks 🙁

  • NHCarsfan says:

This is the first sign of the Apocalypse

  • jmularczyk says:

I’ve finally come to terms with the lenticulars being ok because it’s better that they release those instead of re-releasing all the ones they put out a few years ago. Lets face it – people that are 300 cars into it at this point really got a thrill out of the hunt but it’s not even fun to go hunting anymore since there is not much new to find when only looking for the painted eye cars that are cannon to the original movie. Most of us that aren’t jumping onto the lenticulars are probably buying the storyteller cars and the mater tall tales cars but these really don’t fill the void either. We want Mattel to give us more than 1 or 2 new painted eye cars a month from the orginal film. Just having the painted eye cars at Target where they are nearly impossible to get your hands on is really wearing me out.

    • Steve AKA: Poppa says:

I for one have no interest in any of the Storyteller line. I see Storytellers are a vehicle (pun intended) to sell merchandise based on a four minutes or less short cartoon. Yes, they are cute, but, really, how many of these will Mattel crank out? Since Cars One will be around forever (Like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) as new kids are born, then there will be new buyers for the original toy characters. The new feature at the Disney Parks will help keep the line going.

Mattel, it’s time to recognize there are advanced collectors wanting the characters from the movie and should meet the demand for the lesser characters. This is right in line with collectors for Hasbro’s Star Wars action figures, main characters and lesser figures, such as those shown in the Creature Cantina!

  • Eric says:

    So MET or Mike –

Where was this found and what is the case assortment? I thought we were due for Ramone after the DJ cases run their course. Is this a Hong Kong preview of what’s to come?

    • 1202mcgowan says:

Eric, I found it at Walmart in middle Tennessee. Sorry, I didn’t really pay attention to the case assortment since I don’t collect lenticulars. I was just hoping to find a DJ. 🙂

  • deadmaninc010 says:

doesnt this break the “Lasseter Mandate” of no lenticular until after a non-lenticular version has been released?

  • Steve AKA: Poppa says:

The only thing that really happens with adding a sticker calling it a “Chase” car that happens is the after market guys get involved. My local toy scalper who has a booth at the Pacific Run Antique Mall just added “THREE” chase DJ’s at $12 each. There is not one lenticular in his inventory, and, he has not been able to sell many sought after older castings at now $5 each. This is the kind of marketing that drives the collector from the marketplace. The collectors on this site over estimate the attraction for these toys. Yes, there are buyers, but, go to any toy retailer and there are numerous toys for the young crowd. The younger crowd/non collector is bound to outgrow “Cars” and get into toys for older kids, like Hot Wheels/die cast, action figures and video games. At one time Mattel indicated 25% of Hot Wheels sales were to adult collectors. Keep it up Mattel and the collector will drop from the marketplace.

  • Chris says:

has anybody found chase ransberg king or ramaone?

  • BMW says:

Lets look at the chase cars. Not one of them has been a new sculpt.
All were re issued cars with added components; stickers, boots, piston cups, or repaints.
The last two were worthy of being called chase with the special metallic paint.
Lenticular Chase is a definite wrong move.

    • Daniel says:

I’m kind of glad they’re not “new” cars because I’d hate to imagine how hard they would be to find.

I’m sure a lot of people have passed up on Chase King because they already had him and essentially didn’t want to spend $7 on an empty cup.

It makes us finding them a bit easier IMO.

  • There are some Chase Kings out there that are lenticular.

  • Mike H says:

“Final Lap CARS are ONLY available at Target in the US (at least for now, this is still 100% true).”

In the last 3 weeks, I’m wondering if this is even true. I’ve been to 3 different Targets, and all I’ve seen on the shelves are lenticulars.

After the first wave of Final Laps, I haven’t seen the 2nd and recent 3rd waves show up.

    • michele says:

same here. I’ve gotten nothing from final laps since blowing bubbles mater a few months ago.

    • kdthomas says:

My strategy this week paid off. I spent about 30 minutes organizing my Target’s Cars section by putting all the lenticulars on their own peg. (i.e. all Ramones on one peg, all Lightning McQueen on another, etc). By doing this it opened up a few empty pegs and let them see what they had out. I also made sure that the Final Lap pegs were visibly empty. To the 16 year old night clerk that is stocking this stuff they don’t know the difference between a lenticular or a Final Lap. I did get a few weird looks from the Electronics/Toy area clerks but what I found when I went back the next morning (yesterday) was three brand new cases of Final Lap in their proper pegs! These had been sitting in the stock room apparently. Yet their inventory system said they had zero in stock.

I also orgainzed all the haulers and stacked them by character. Not only do I notice that they sell faster when I organize them they seem to pull more out. Tonight I found 6 Sidewall Shine. I have yet to see any Mood Springs at any WM or Target. I haven’t been to TRU in a while. Maybe that’s who is getting them???

  • cac1959 says:

While I am not as anti-lenticular as others, Mattel has violated one important principle… if it’s not broken, don’t fix it…

I don’t know if I will continue to collect them all…. (but I probably will continue to collect most of them)…

I always thought it was silly that bling bling McQueen didn’t have the gold rims.

  • Matt says:

I am glad I am out of the game….. Truly, Mattel always seems to have the last laugh, and it is these deceptive practices, the lenticular line in general, poor case distribution, and what appears to be a shrug off to the final lap series that made me get out.

I love this site and the community, but I’m glad the journey for me is done.

Haven’t Final Lap been found overseas? I kow both lenticular and hauler with night skylime motif are available here in Australia. (not readily, just before they sell out). I can almost here ebayers laughing and smiling now.

Also I sense a sudden shift with people collecting Lenticulars at least for the chase series now. I know I will be.

  • rpag says:

well, not sure how I feel on this one. But I will still plan to collect them all!

  • Rippers says:

What is the * Astrix next to the Chase all about??

Is there a small disclaimer on the back saying * not actually a chase as it has googly eyes and no one really wants a repeat repackaged.

    • I-am-speed says:

I think you mean “asterisk”. 🙂

    • I-am-speed says:

I see several complaints about not being able to find Final Lap cars.

I listed 4 sets of the 3 “must haves” from Case C on the Trading Forum, only 2 people took me up on them, so the rest went back today. 🙁

      • kdthomas says:

Most would like to find these without having to make trades or pay for shipping. That’s why they are complaining I would imagine.

        • I-am-speed says:

Figure the cost of gas to run and find, or not find, the things compared to someone already having them, doesn’t really make sense to spend too much time searching for them.

          • kdthomas says:

            That’s part of the fun!

          • Steve AKA: Poppa says:

Of course the new Cars would be a lot easier to locate if people did not buy every new one that is on the pegs. I’ve never had to buy anything I’ve wanted on eBay or at an antique mall kiosk/booth. Today I saw a new case at a Target, and, did not buy any. I do buy for another local buyer mom/collector, who does not have the time to spend searching from store to store. Turning them over to her over coffee tomorrow. In person transactions are much nicer than sterile eBaying. All my local “finds” have been while buying something other than toys. Today is Tuesday, which is new DVD day at Target. I can understand somebody out in the sticks and not near any Target buying on this site or eBay after the dust settles. Other than that I’d rather find them myself.
