Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Lenticular Case G REVISED
Revised …
The BIG NEWS is VERN is GONE – presumably moved to a later CASE (NO H info yet) since he has to be released as a Final Lap CAR first and Vern as a non-lenticular Final Lap CAR might still be a case release or two away …
If you’re collecting the Lenticular 2.0 “Night Skyline-side to side eyes) CARS, in some ways, it’s an upgrade as it’s the first appearance of several lenticular 2.0 CARS.
The new CASE G is …
… including the first appearance of Charlie Checker on single card as lenticular. It is also the first appearance of Snot Rod, Flo, & the 2-pack Luigi & Guido on the Lenticular Night Skyline card.
We also have not had a CASE with just ONE LIGHTNING MCQUEEN since late 2008.
It is the most balanced case for retailers we have seen in a long, long time.
Now, Part II, more new CARS …
Yes, the checklist will be revised …
That list is different/wrong to what I found in the case I opened this evening in the UK, there was no Green or Purple Ramone, and there was a King and Bling Bling LMQ in the case.
I found
1. Chase Ramone
2. Hydraulic Ramone
3. Pit Crew Sarge
4. Pit Crew Sarge
5. Mater
6. Mater
7. Brand New Mater
8. Charlie Checker
9. DJ
10. Sally
11. Snot Rod
12. Flo
13. Luigi & Guido
14. King
15. Leak Less
16. Bling Bling LMQ
17. Cruisin LMQ
18. Cruisin LMQ
19. Dinoco LMQ
20. Chick Hicks
21. Chick Hicks
22. Doc Hudson
23. LMQ
24. RS LMQ
(MET: Int’l packs are usually different – some smaller packs (like 6 to a box) are sometimes the same but the more in a case, the more likely it’s different).
Hydraulic Ramone (Chase) is out in UK.
On the back of the Final Lap cardbacks, they have the new cars in what appears to be release order. Skip, Polly, and Bubbles Mater. Then Antonio and Dexter. Then Pit Crew Sarge, Costanzo, and Muddy. So it looks like One Eye Mater, Donna Pits, and Nick Stickers are next, with Vern probably in the case after that. I could be wrong (MET might know) but that’s what it looks like to me…
(MET: Alright – code cracked! can we get a bet placed somewhere? 🙂 ).
question: why does Mattel continue to produce lenticulars when clearly they aren’t selling? a case of Final Lap is gone w/in hours (maybe 2 days) while a case of lenticulars just sits and sits. fine they tried a new product, but it didn’t work. an important rule in any business is if something doesn’t work, cut your losses and move on. what you don’t do is throw bad money after bad money. great move Mattel.
Will this be Pit Crew Sarge’s first appearance as a lenticular as well?
I think it is the 1st release as a single, but has already been released in 3-pack packaging.
Know-whatta-mean, Vern?
That means Cars Collectors will finally get Vern as a Final Lap car at Target when he comes out! Thank gosh they did not remove Ransburg Hydraulic Ramone from there!
only if you live by one of the 6 Target stores they will release a case to…
and then if you can find someone to bring it out of its secret bunker in the back …
Boring case without vern
Ransburg Hydraulic Ramone will be in that case. Get Vern as a Final Lap car when he comes out.
who is vern again?
He was a car shown for just a flash going in to watch the big end race
In real life, Vern’s Taxi Service in Sonoma County, home of Pixar.
So, Ransburg(Chase) Hydraulic Ramone will be NON-lenticular?
yeppers!!! 🙂 YAY! 🙂
So next case please !!!
