I’d like to get one for my granddaughter. She has a REAL hamster, so her hamster would have a toy hamster companion. Actually have never seen one in the stores. TRU here has none. Anyone trying to get one from ebay, time is running out on shipping to have by Christmas. 8 days.
Zhu Zhu Hamsters soon to be available at Big Lots for $3.99! Ebayers are not worrying about getting stuck with them. After all, Target, Wal-Mart, et al have 90 day return receipts. If you bought one, I hope you remembered to get the jumbo size package of batteries at Costco. Nothing like having an immobile hamster on Christmas morning.

Yeah I went to TRU for the one day sale that they had going on as I wanted to get a few new oversized Cars for my son and they had a similar display. There were at least 100 or more on a table setup when you walk in as well as another table full of the accessories. A quick call to my sister and I was able to snag a few items for my nieces so that was a bonus. As for evil bay it looks like they are fully saturated as I just checked and there 30,000 items listed for these guys.

They are pretty cute. The new Atlantis sets are really nice too. I picked those up for Christmas. 🙂
I know I saw the Toy Story one yesterday and I so wanted to pick it up for my boy. But I had to stop, Santa’s sleigh is already full.
It is a shame when one talks about others making profits off of toys and other hard to find items but does it himself!! Amazing!!!

Glad to see that there are plenty of hamsters to go around now. Feel badly for the folks that paid way too much for them. Hopefully all the craziness won’t start again when wave 2 hamsters come out.

Yes they are. One TRU in my area had the Wave 2 4-Packs a few days ago, but I wasn’t getting in line at 5am to get one.
Haven’t seen them here yet. Maybe this weekend. 🙂
Same as Tickle Me Elmo and almost every other ‘hard to find’ Christmas toy.
Week before Christmas they start popping up everywhere.
You would think people would learn by now.
Oh well, it makes for good entertainment.
TMX Elmo, was the worst. Saw 25k BIN on epay a few days before Christmas.
You could see this coming. Now it is getting too late for the resellers to dump the extra Zhu Zhus never mind buy more. As suggested by some the buyer and overpaying parents were fueling unnecessarily high prices. There were always enough to go around really. It’s just the resellers were taking them all. Had everyone refused to pay more than a modest markup the Zhu Zhus would have never sold so high. I am so happy I didn’t panic and overpay. The Zhu Zhus the day after Christmas will be in the clearance bin for 4.00.
I hope all the parents who were panicked and willing to pay much more than they should have learn something from this.
By the way, despite the brainwashing and predictive programming by the consumer driven media and Christmas movie makers, your child would suffer not long term damage from not getting every toy they ever want, exactly when they want it. I am sure if you were not able to get your child a Zhu Zhu for Christmas but they got some other nice toys and you told them that Santa wanted to give more Zhu Zhus to the poor kids that don’t have a house or much else, but he wants me to take you out right after Christmas and pick out a few new Zhu Zhus they would be happy with that.
To the Zhu Zhu hoarders you better dump them now. Time is running out on the great Zhu Zhu hoard and mark up as high as you can 2009 Christmas season cash in. I personally don’t really care what anyone does and I am not judging. However I do want to say that a good majority of people who did hoard the Zhu Zhus were not happy with a modest markup and wanted to get every penny they could from fellow parents and everyone else they could. I just hope those same hoarders don’t get upset if some day others are hoarding something more important like food due to a shortage someday.
Please don’t get upset if your fellow man says “that’s nice that you have a family, but I am not happy with a modest profit. Now give me 30.00 for this loaf a bread or starve”. As I truly believe the Zhu Zhu craze has been a good reflection of what are society has become and where it is headed.
The only saving grace is that there were a small percentage of people that never wanted to profit or kept the profits modest and tried to help others. Let’s pray that the children of those parents are tomorrows leaders and not the children of the parents that had some Zhu Zhus they didn’t need but said hey you want these Pay me and I mean pay Me!
After all a fair days pay for any work is fine but greed is a sin.
