Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: The Other Holy Grail
The CARS Team ’09 Red Ransburg is certainly one of the holy relics of CARS, the fanatical devotion collection. It is one of 50 and rare earth.
Another is this Dream Halloween set containing “The One” Red Ransburg that is literally ONE of a kind along with 70+ CARS …
And the third in this holy trinity?
The Disney Thanks for 50 Million Box Set given to all the CARS Team members in 2007.
A box set with a frame SEALED containing (most) all the CARS in the Desert Art Series including Movie Moments and signed by John Lasseter.
What’s on the back?
Well, can’t give out all the secrets. 🙂
No, it’s not mine nor do I have one – just a photo.
Maybe ToyGrader or Carney Plastics can whip up a case (minus the CARS logo and signature).
i thought the holy grail you were refering to was the piston cup
If had the money last year and I would have bid a lot more for Darth Mater.
Alas no lottery winnings were in my future.
I would have been the man if I had that. Who won that, Met?
(MET: I’m not sure – since it was the last item, a lot of people had gotten weary and left … but I think it was someone at Pixar?)
To get John Lasseter’s autograph would be AMAZING !!!
I’m smelling conspiracy…note that there is no Sarge in the “Thanks for 50 Million” box set…someone knew the paint had lead…hmm…
Hmmm that Elusive shooter from the grassy knoll might have taken out Sarge on the way to that case display?
Where is Sarge in the John Lasseter signed set????? Once again he loses out.
he was being recalled =)
dude we just got security guy and this was awile ago
huh?
huh? huh??
someone please stand that blimp up!
Notice how there is only one Mia/Tia Dinoco although both in the red. That settles it don’t want one of those now, it falls short of expectation (tongue fimly impanted in cheek)
A little know fact:
Carney Plastics made the Dream Halloween set and came close to making the Speedway of the South set boxes
If Carney plastics would make that Dream Halloween display case for retail, I would be all over it.
I would like to think that you could buy the Carney plastic display and get a custom designed cabinet to set it in. Obviously I don’t have the skills to do it, but looking at it, I don’t think it would be that hard to do. There are plenty of custom cabinet makers who can design such things.
Rumor has it that there is a Pirate up in Canada who’s VERY capable of doing just that! 😀
I’m guessing on the back there is a picture of Matty? probably no bar code but.
like I said before, customs have nothing on the real deal. I NEED to have one of those 51!
We can but dream.
