Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Blu Ray DVD + 2 CARS Now Also at Costco.com
It doesn’t look like Costco will get it in the stores … the Costco Christmas magazine says ONLINE ONLY.
Our last complete post on the topic with links to Amazon, TRU & WM … is HERE.
Though speaking of Costco, it looks like Costco did get the return of an old CARS item from 2006 – the slot CAR set.
Graphics updated but otherwise, looks the same – not the world’s great slot track & CARS but an okay price in 2006 ($29.99?) now reduced to an even better price …
A solid starter set for younger kids.
Thanks for the pics, MiaSenorita.
Costco also has a GeoTrax CARS special set.
Looks like Best Buy pulled theirs:

Hi can anyone help? This is a lenticular question. I saw on an Ebay seller’s listings that the new Final Lap lenticulars have eyes that look side to side and not blinking/closing eyes like the original lenticulars. Is this true? Does that mean (eg for King) you could have normal king, blinking King lenticular, eyes left to right lenticular, plus Chase piston Cup versions?! If so it’s getting a bit much now isn’t it?!
Jon
I saw that too. One of our TFAD members has the ads. I can send him an email to be sure
Yes there are different versions now…
The new BLUE package lenticular cars all of them go side ways. So you basically see 4 eyes if you look at it it… There is a blinking (one side close) lightning mcqueen in original lentricular package…
The new side by side moving eyes are in Case E.
What your seeing now in stores is case C and some D.
I think Walmart trays (new ones not the one out last month) has case C and D in them…
It would be safe to say the side by side lentricular will start to be with the blue package.
The case E has the Chase Darrell Ransburg Cartrip.
Hope this helps. I have cases and I am asking $5 for IFAD members.. plus shipping.
is this 5.00 for the lenticulars or the Darryl Randsbergs?
OPPS SORRY $15 FOR THE RANSBURG
So we’ve got regular eyes, blinking eyes, a winking eye Mcqueen (is this only on Mcqueen or others too) plus side to side eyes?! Good grief! What’s next, moving mouths, then a combo of all of them?!
Jon
Well I have not verified it yet but I swear the mater mouth is different on the lenticulars vs reg.. But you know its the finer differences that make collecting so much fun… Trust me if it was no vanilla we would not be on this board gossiping on what is new or what we heard…
The dvd combo pack with the two cars is also going to be available at Target in the states, retailing for $26.99. It will be pictured in the ad coming out on Sunday.
I checked Target ad:
Nothing yet, bu this is dated Novemeber 1 thru the 7th

Sent a screenshot of the ad to Met Xing. The ad should be available for viewing online tomorrow. . .
Is it wrong that I gotta have this and I don’t even own a Blu-ray? 😕
For all Cars addicts in Australia Myer has the Carrera Slot Cars track on special. $89 (Australian) save $50.

Have it and I don’t recommend it…It has very poor track to car connnections and the cars sputter…also, the tracks don’t stay together well…certainly not the best Cars slot car set out there…
I saw the GeoTrax set yesterday. I think it was about $57.00, and included three cars, one of which was Trev. From what I saw pictured, it didn’t look like that great a value. Even though the TRU $100.00 costs 40% more, it has 40% more stuff in it too.
I bought that slot car set for my son back when it was first released. Being a veteran of Tyco and AFX sets when I was a kid, I was eager to introduce my son to slot cars. This was total junk, though. I had to buy three sets to get TWO cars that worked reasonably well. It was frustrating for us both. I am sure that there are many people that got a good set out of the box, but I just wanted to give a word of caution.
I suspect this will be available as a loss leader everywhere!
nice, looks like i can buy!!
