Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Mickey Needs Smaller Stickers
While it’s great that the Disney Stores.com offers everything in the stores online – even stuff normally found only in the theme parks, they are clearly going to need smaller and-or REMOVEABLE stickers …
Now, if you plan on opening them, it’s not that big of a deal but to save in your collection or even as a gift, not exactly real friendly … apparently the adhesive is NOT removeable without leaving part of the sticker on the front.
They need some sort of post-it note adhesive that lifts off without leaving a mark …
Thanks for the pics, “IHM.”
MET! why are all my posts dissapearing????
i commented on this blog last night and its not here now!
(MET: Sometimes the SPAM FILTER goes nutty – drop me an email note … ).
Try hitting the “refresh” button, sometimes your own posts don’t show up until doing so an extra time.
Absurdly huge.
That’s what she said.
All you have to do is ask them to remove the stickers before they pick you order. Thats what I did and everything was good
just found Gerry!
but something about him just doesnt seem right….
anyone know what i mean?
[WORDPRESS HASHCASH] The poster sent us ‘0 which is not a hashcash value.
thats weird i bought 20 Red’s and stickers were on back and i peeled them right off. maybe a little fingernail on some
Are there Cars underneath the labels?
Murpeeie is right – I’ve received several International cardback Cars from friends in the UK… the stickers from Argos remove with no trouble whatsoever… Can’t say the same thing about other stickers… If you open, it’s not an issue, but I rarely open my International cardback Cars.
Dang time change… my mind typed Murpheeie, but my fingers did not. Please accept my apologies for mistyping your name…
They do something simlar in Argos here but on the card and the stickers peel right off no problem, not that it matters as we open everything and launch them, you should see Gaskits go! Play with them people!
Just returned from Toys R Us, and found Sno Globe Mater Saves Christmas singles. No Mater. These are the same as the UK Disney Singels….
You heard it here folks… Now to see if the Box set goes elsewhere.
do you have upc#’s pretty please 😀
I’m glad our disneystore.co.uk does not do this, i ordered all my cars toons through that with no problem
interesting, but why would you order a “the King” …lol
Quite interesting! But I agree with Jeanne and Iamspeed – hair dryer, good gone, WD-40 – those usually do the trick!
And I thought Kmart was bad!
Don’t they know there are already UPC labels on the package??????
Automated inventory control system at the warehouse would be my bet, making them easy for the computer/scanner/reader to recognize as they travel through the warehouse.
The stickers come off with goo gone NO issue and you can request NO price labels when you order online, just call and ask.
OUCH! 🙁
I call “packaging variant”. i.e., The King (Disney Store version without sticker) or The King (Disney Store version WITH sticker).
Much like the “New” (sunburst) or “New” snipe nonsense.
😆
Sounds like we need a Disney Store without “STICKER PERSON”
Hair dryer on low, slowly heating the paper ’til the adhesive releases, then pull slowly.
Adhesive residue can be removed with Goof Off! or other gentile adhesive removers….OR, my preferred product, WD-40. The WD-40 residue comes off easily with window cleaner like Windex.
Tip: Spray, or squeeze onto, on a cotton ball or cotton make-up pad, instead of spraying directly on the item, then there’s no risk of overspray ruining the cardboard.
Great info!!!
Thanks for the tips!
could at least put em on the back of the card instead of covering up the car….
At least with the sticker on the plastic, it can be removed without destroying the packaging. If it was placed on the cardboard back, you’d probably pull off some, if not all, of the printed back of the card.
Ugh…what a terrible decision to put all that sticky on the packaging. Not good for us collectors!!
FIRST!
NO good for any-Dude!!!
To think the item you are buying is nicely displayed in a bubble like that and them covered up!!!!
Oh the horror!
