I did some investigating, and the cases are being shipped from our Distribution Center either by the end of the day tomorrow or Friday at the latest.
The delivery date will depend on where you live, but you should expect to receive your order at some point next week.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
My local Kmart didn’t even do it this year. 🙁 However, the Kmart near work still had some good leftovers this Monday morning. 🙂

Everyone got all that they wanted!
Barcodes and\or SKU’s not in system at check out time – Had to look up upc code for cashiers to use.
Same story here with the SKU’s.
Found all the cars we wanted.. Got lucky though because the cash register had a problem so we got them for $2.99 in Colorado Springs Colorado.

We do however have lots of cattle marts! (True story, while you were buying cars today I was selling cows to fund the habit!)

I forgot to mention in my post that at our K-Mart in Maryland, some of the cars rang up a 2.99 and some rang up at 2.69. We only got the new Piston cup cars, no lenticulars. Don’t know why the different prices. Sorry some of you guys had to pay 3.69.

The K-Mart on 7th Street and Baseline had a table full of today’s Cars. The manager said only a couple of people showed up. This was at about 11:20 this morning. The table (closer to lay-away than the toys area) was full when I left.
No High Dive Maters, but a couple of RSM sets and Nurse Coreys in the usual Cars area.
Didn’t make it into the local store until after lunch (actually went at 10AM, thinking that was when the event was for some reason). Picked up three sets of racers and some extras (one set and extras for a Take 5’er). There were probably a hundred racers left on the table, and three or four boxes under the table that hadn’t been touched yet. I’m sure the eBayer that cleaned them out last year will be back around once he figures out they had another Cars Day.
K-Mart event at the Portland Avenue, Tacoma, WA store was well run and orderly. The same crowd as for event 2. There were six master cases-twenty four cases. Everybody (20) got a case, took what they needed, and left a big pile behind. There were ten posters. I was able to get a poster and pulled two color fliers from the aisle shelf, since the event was now officially passed.
There appears to be some lack of enthusiasm for K-Mart 3, but, those of such that refuse to buy launchers and multi packs to get one, this saved a lot of $$$. Cars were also $3.69.
Steve if you have spare 8.5 x 11 flyers, I would like one, 2 if you have 2

The 8.5″ x 11″ fliers are the same as the 28″ x 22″ double sided card stock posters that were at the entrance to some of the K-Marts. I was able to pick one of those up at the Lakewood, WA K-Mart in the afternoon. It was headed to the garbage. I will see what I can do with my limited computer skills.

Just visiting the area for the day. There were about 11 adults, a smattering of kids but only one or two who looked under 10 years old. Lots of Collectors which is fine with me. It is a “Collectors” event, after all.
I think I saw 4 master cases but whatever the count, each person was able to get a case each and pull as many as they wanted. No limit on 5 Cars per person. And then there seemed to be extras even after that.
Everyone kept mentioning “Nikko” or some name like that and trying to help him out. Must be a local collector? A Take5er?
$3.69/car which seems like a bargain with all the MTT prices. Maybe I am forgetting that these things used to be under $3 not too long ago.
Anyhow, all seemed content. All is well in the Cars world in Pinole, California.

and 1 Lent. Sheriff (since we only had one Sheriff)
Still lots of cars left over could’ve probably filled two cases of just racers.
I think Mattel dropped the ball by not offering any “new” cars.
It was nice to get the hard to find racers, but now most people know that if you wait they will show up. I hope this doesn’t ruin the chances of Cars Day 4.
Had great luck at Target this week too where they finally released the Final Lap cars and the Pit Crew box sets. X-mas shopping almost done.
Hi, im a hotwheel/pixar car collector. I went to the event and was the only person to show up. LOL Got the cars i wanted and talekd to my fav kmart lady. Alot easier the n the hotwheels events lol.
Utah Disney/Pixar Club Kmart Day #3 report:
6 master cases – 24 cases
handed out NEW Utah Disney/Pixar Club – takefiveaday.com business cards to new people that I printed up(maybe more new Utah people will visit takefiveaday!!!!)
Handed out 30 5.00 off 50.00 coupons and 30 of the kmart ONE TOY 10% off coupons (yes our kmart let us use them for the Kmart Exclusive singles today)
Everyone got what they wanted and were able to use EVRY coupon I printed up… ALOT OF unopened sealed cases and overs left behind.

We ended up not making it up to the one you were at, and just went to the one here in Orem. There were probably about 10-12 people there, and 16 cases. Everyone got what they wanted, and there were tons left over on the tables when we left. It was pretty fun, my son tried to take the whole case, he was so excited to see so many Cars, but I had to tell him it would probably be a good idea not to give daddy a heart attack when he saw the price if we were to buy a whole case! We didnt get a poster, there were only 8 of them, but I dont think Zach even noticed them 🙂

We got everything we want.. I don’t know if there was an error in the cash register or not, but here in Colorado Springs CO we only paid $2.99 for each one instead of $3.69… It worked out great. 🙂
Here in Denver event was smooth but not really an event. Only six people arrived before 11am so at 11 manager brought boxes and let us just grabe a box or two if we wanted and get however many we wanted. They did give out tickets at 10:30 but that was forgotten about. Everyone was handed a poster and lucky me I asked about the one at the front door and the manager told me to just take it as it would probably just go in the trash. Even luckier me I got to use the 10% coupon on each individual car I purchased, cashier said that it was good on all toys!

I was a little worried because the area lost 2 KMarts in the last 6 months but Everybody seemed to get what they wanted. 4 master cases (16 cases) for about 14 people so all was good at the Crystal MN KMart. The Racers didn’t ring up but the lenticulars did so they sold them for $3.69. I didn’t use my 10% coupon so I handed it off to a guy buying Legos. I was hoping for a Fiber Fuel launcher but I must have missed it because the rest of that launcher case was on the pegs.
We have 1 master case (4 boxes) 8 ppl and 3 kids. Three of the adults kept calling ppl on their cell phones to find out what they should/needed to get for them. I got an evil eye or two since I picked up two sets from the leftovers that were placed out on the tables.
(btw I was not called) Everyone behaved fine until they did not ring up at checkout and one wanker said “you should have opened the cases early so this wouldn’t have happened” (1d10t)
I shared a couple of the coupons I had with the nice couple there.
Great time had by most
Where I went there were about 12 people with 2 master cases (8 boxes). The k-mart woman really didn’t know what she was doing so I helped her out. Their was one ebay/flea market jerk there that after everyone picked 5 he started shoveling all of the rest in, not everybody (kids and collectors) had gotten theirs yet so I started shoveling in the rest and told people that I was getting them away from the ebay jerk and would happily give them what they needed to complete their sets. I also took a few of the $5 off $50 coupons and distributed them (not to the ebay a** of course) I also found an Fiber Fuel launcher in the regular section and a gi joe City Strike Resolute Snake Eyes that I used the 10% coupons on (takes T5AD) I think I ended up helping everybody out that needed it, so I will just say watch out for EVILBAY a-holes
Phantomrs, I take great offense to your comments! I am a single mom of two, and am very active on ebay, so that I am able to make ends meet, to take care of my boys. Food stamps and WIC only go so far with everything costing so much. So between working at Huddle House, ebay, garage sales, and flea markets, have been the only way I can support my boys, as their father is a dead beat dad… SO PLEASE, practice some empathy and “think” before you decide to throw all of us ebayers in the same boat. Not all of us are A-HOLES or JERKS like you seem to think. Not sure why you’re so hostile about ebayers, but if it wasn’t for ebay, I don’t know what I would do to take care of my boys.
The local K-Mart I traveled to only had myself and 3 others. They had 8 cases so they scrapped the whole ticket drawing and gave us each a case and a poster. More than enough for 4 people. The CARS would not scan but they sold them for $3.69 each which wasn’t that bad at all. Right before the event, some guy was making a page that if you find the red light, you get a free knife. I was like oh great, a free knife and CARS event all at the same time. Not good! =( I’m glad it wasn’t a Hot Wheels event…
Western Ohio… I made 4 separate transactions as I had to divide my purchases up among 4 different methods of paying. I used $5 off $50 coupons on all of them.
2 master cases for 4 people… they let us each go through 2 cases… I saw a man and his son that I’d met at the June event and we helped each other find what we needed. I met a woman and her son – he had the 2009 Collectors Guide with him and pointed out what he was missing – I told them I had extras of at least 10 of them so that will be good to convert those to cash… Both read TakeFiveADay and CarsTheToys.com. I ended up being short of Leakless, but have a friend in Illinois who bought 3 for me… and another friend in Indianapolis bought a few extra N2O Cola and Vinyl Toupee for me.
2 of my sets are going to Cars Cares.
This was a good event… No errors in packaging or case assortment. Very few lenticulars sold…
A Chase Car would be great, as would the missing pittys… Still waiting for Kmart to ship the case I ordered for myself as well as cases I ordered for 3 overseas friends.
My Kmart had four master cases and 16 people including little ones there to get numbers. I have never seen so many cars left over at a KMart event. I think the case numbers, lenticulars, and the fact that there were actually no truely NEW releases led to a lower turn-out and tons of leftovers. Got my seven synthetics and thats it. I did not see anyone buy a lenticular car. There was talk there that there was going to be another K-Mart day in November…. Any word MET?
Yeah the collector day is November 7 for Hot Wheels at 9am.

Did anyone Go to LUBBOCK KMART? And i called Kmart on Thursday and they said it was at 9 but when my mom went their they said it was at 11
I had my mom go to kmart cause i had a play rehearsal and i havent got the cars yet cause she is still at Kohls and have to wait! And i am just wondering but did anyone find any Final Lap in their cases like that guy found Kmart cars in Final Lap Case

Same experience here. Four people (including myself and my daughter) showed up. There were only six cases. They didn’t even start handing out tickets until 11:08. After they realized that no one else was coming, they just let each of us take a case.
We only wanted the six new cars and of course we got them, and a poster.

3 people with 5 master cases until they made the announcement that they were having a drawing and then about 10 more people showed up who thought they were getting something for free. All worked out and the 3 collectors got what they wanted. I was second in line to check out…the lucky first collector got his cars for $1.00 each because they wouldn’t ring up so the lady put in $1.00 each until people started talking then she went and looked at the price in the toy aisle? Dangbig mouths! Oh well, I did get two cars for the $1.00 price because they still wouldn’t ring up! All in all, a good day. I do feel sorry for my kids because I don’t think I will have any money for Christmas this year! LOL
I got to Kmart at 8am, Last night they told my event was at 9 not 11 even though their loudspeaker and ad said 11. They handed out tickets. at 9 There were two people with tickets. Me and my wife with our 7 and 9 year old boy and girl. LOL… Got 3 of each rubber, one for son, daughter and ME:).. they gave both the kids posters. No excitement or drama, NOT A BAD THING!!!!!

went today thinking i would have to wait in line there was me and one other guy. the kmart employee handed us each a case and said “take as many as you want i don’t think the 5 per person applies” wish it was like that last time.
K-mart here only had 4 cases, but nobody else there so I was able to get all I needed. My vinyl toupee was in an error box, the tag said rev n go.
There were more cases than people, but the manager “had” to follow the rules. Everyone got a ticket and they drew numbers, but it was so stupid because every ticket got called and then there were still many unopened cases! Then the manager asked if anyone wanted another ticket for a second round. We all looked at her like she was crazy. There were no chase cars, and two people were disappointed. There were so many left over. I got what I wanted and my 4 year old is very happy!
Boring for us. We were the only ones there at 10:45, and at 11:00, it was us and 1 other family from Canada wandering around that area, with no idea what they were setting up for. 4 cases, 16 boxes — they said “take what you want”. We got the 7 new rubber tires cars and the poster, that was all we ‘needed’. A few other people after us, getting a few Cars here and there, but no big shopper. There were about 12-13 UNopened boxes when we left. Went next door to Lowe’s for a few things and we were home by 11:35 !
I think today’s poster is the same as the June poster ???
Just confirmed you are correct, the fold-out poster from Kmart Day II is the same as the Poster from KMart Day III.

3 people for 5 master cases. they didn’t even read the rules, just let us have at it. We each got a poster and every car we could carry. When we left there were many unopened cases on the table.
Although I am glad I had no trouble getting what I wanted I would have liked for it to have been more of an event. It felt a little sad.
Done and Done….Everyone got a box and were on their way…Scored a flyer and a poster .. the 2009 poster is fantastic..lots of guys on there not out yet! All the synthetics and Lenticular Mater and Doc for me…

A few people came in about 15 minutes later.
They did draw numbers, even though only 3 families there.
Manager gave my family member one of the event posters. Used the $5.00 off coupon.

our Kmart (Southgate, MI) had only 6 collectors and 10 cases. While they still drew numbers everyone was able to get what they want. Including the posters. Even scored High Dive Mater today.

I got the REscue squad mater set yesterday at Kmart for $14.99. Would have loved to buy it today with the coupon, but alas Santa was shopping alone yesterday and today that will not be the case. I only want 2 of the racers they have..and since I’ll have 2 boys with me..I’m thinking and hoping our odds are good of scoring! Good luck everyone!

Nice score. Went to my Kmart this morning, but nothing new on the shelves. I am hoping they are waiting to stock until just before the event.
We stopped by another Kmart last night, the $5.99 sale sticker was there, but nothing other than 1 RPM Semi on the pegs. We’ll be going to a different store this morning, so we’ll see if they’ve got anything like High Dive.
