Saw these both at TRU about 2 weeks ago.
a friend found these two 4-paks for us in CA last night in TRU.
Confirmed – the price is currently $17.99. Just bought 4 of them (2 Rescue Squad Mater Packs and 2 Doc Mater Packs). Also looks like each store is only getting 1-2 cases of each new item in the initial shipments, but they may get more before actual release date.
I found one 2 weeks ago at a Meijer store.
Seen lots of these at Kmart (Australia – Kmart here NOT related to overseas Kmarts). Been on shelfs for about four weeks. Normal cost is $AUD44 ($USD Equivalent $55) but this week on special $AUD37 ($USD46.25).
I don’t want Aussies getting too excited coz we have been duped before, but this weeks Kmart brochure shows Elton John Mater (Rocketman) up for sale. Of course just coz they have the picture means sweet FA.
The brochure also says that Car Toons are an exclusive to Kmart and will only be on the shelf for a limited time (what great thinking you knobs!)
But on Kmart Collector Day Cars (#’s 1 & 2). We have found them in Australia in recent times. Mat (AKA Hostile Takeover Bank) has found them living in the wild as have I but we found them at TARGET. (PS If you are an Aussie reading this and found the Kmart Cars at Target Morley, just so you know I left them behind so somebody else could have a happy dance moment, sorry about the Mario Chase though I took that for my son)
Mind you Target and Kmart are owned by the same company (wesfarmers). But neither have any connection with the overseas companies of teh same names.

This also begs the question… what ELSE will Target have on Oct 11? Too funny if you can find all the KMart racers in Target on Oct 11 with the bad packaging that has been going on………

My guess is that they are going to put the Story Tellers out then too. I punched that number in yesterday and they came up and as something like $3.74. But when they brought the case out, it was all the old 3pks. I thought I might score big time with the Showgirls & Maters cousins & the price, but nope.

Oh its snowing BIG time. I live in snow country of snowy Montana. We have 3-4 big ski hills surrounding the city…. 🙂 In all honesty, this is a late first snow. We had a loooong summer. After all, it was 75 yesterday !

I would wait until you see them for that price. If you input that DCPI into a wall scanner that’s the price, but who knows if it will change when they come out.
I was in New York City 2 weeks ago and purchased both of these box sets at Fao Schwarts. Toys R Us also had them in stock.

Target is really trying to get the jump on Kmart before the October 17 Collector Event… Decisions, decisions… I don’t think I’ll have enough money to collect them all… this month…
