The Chicks Hick HTB Team haulers are back at Target also … this is the first release box … the current motif is the Piston Cup Nights versus the Race O Rama but it’s the exact same box contents.
The Team HTB Crew out of box …
Of the current Crew Chiefs & Pitty’s Team packs, the Chick Hicks HTB one is notable for a) Two THIN Pitty’s and one WIDE Pitty instead of one thin, wide & fat and b) so far, there have been no reported different-variant-error packing.
The Pitty closest to the Crew Chief is “Bruiser Bukowski” even though he has unofficially-officially lost his name. Bruiser has been available with brown eyes and blue eyes depending on the packaging as we covered in great tedious detail HERE. 🙂 As of now, he’s back to blue. The other THIN Pitty has the eyes in a center position – the first release of a Chick Hicks THIN Pitty with eyes in that position!
Oh yea, and the Crew Chief is new …

It’s cute, but I really do hope to find a center eyed thin, a fat and a wide so the pitties are all different. I already have 2 bruisers and if the other guys have fat, thin and wide I prefer mine to match.
Picked these guys and the dinoco set up this afternoon, the dinoco set had the three fat pittys and green tires. Also picked up a polly puddlejumper, skip richter and a trunk fresh kmart days.

I don’t remember seeing the HtB chief in the movie – “gee, honey, guess I need to see it again” – but I’m surprised he’s not sporting the Chick ‘stache like the others. I’m sure mattel got this right, but can anyone confirm?
You don’t remember the HTB crew chief when the whole crew saw The Fabulous Hudson Hornet as Lightning’s crew chief in the next pit? He’s sitting up on his observation box, just like Doc.
He’s also in the ‘Speedway of the South’ race as Chick notices McQueen is not ‘pitting,’ and right before Chick re-enters the race, the Crew Chief is shouting ‘Go! Go! Go! Go!’

Looks like the whole back half of chick chief is plastic. Depressed sigh.
I am sure that is so they can use the CAB but change the bed . . . kinda like Mater . . . with plastic mouth and bed . . . you know Mr Potato Head Mater . . . 🙂

JUST AWESOME! I hope the RUN with this 4 pack set . .. move on past the normal 4 and get to some GOOD sets . . . I can’t wait!!
Yeah that really looks great all together. I hope that they continue to do this for all of the racers. Not that there will be any room for all of them, but who cares they just look too good having the complete set.
Finally after all these years we are getting a full pit crew for the main racers. I have had my team Leakless set up for a while with extra Stacys, and Earl Filter.
But now its gonna be nice to get the Chick Crew Chief and Bruiser’s other pitty friends.
Dinoco of course…as well.
That makes four teams complete.
I think Nitroade should be the next one since he is one of the original 16 Desert Back Cars.
