The Team Dinoco Crew Box Set (along with the Leak Less Crew & the Chick Hicks – HTB Crew Box Set) as reported on yesterday seems pretty straightforward – a Crew Chief, 3 Pitty’s* (Thin, Wide & Fat), a toolchest and two sets of tires.
* No more names please …
But it is much trickier …
Yep, a Dinoco Box Set with ONLY WIDE PITTY’s …
OR …
Three correct Pitty’s (one of each) but the wrong tires – looks like Leak Less tires …
Or …
Yep, Team Leak Less with only FAT PITTY’s … so collect them all?
Errors? Versus variants – probably errors since it looks the Dinoco ones have the wrong tires … and have not seen error variants on the Chick Hicks-HTB but then it’s only been about 16 hours …
What else can you add to this list?
So, ask it for it by DPCI 087070418 but you might want to check carefully it’s the ones you want plus the error/variant ones you want … Collect Them All?

Is the Chick set supposed to be in this case? I hit the jackpot at Target today…found Gil, asked customer service about DCPI #s because I checked them on the scanner & it said they had Final Lap, Story Tellers & Crew packs. They brought them all out for me…the Final Lap case looked normal, no K-Mart cars in it & got Polly, Skip & BB Mater. Then opened the pit crew case: 4 Dinoco teams & 2 Leakless. Leakless were fine & all o fthe Dinoco packs had the same fat pitty in it, one was even missing a face plate & all had yellow tires. Opened Story Tellers & they were all old ones. I was afraid of that or thought I would get lucky because the price came up as something like $3.74 for those. Went to another Target to check for just pit crews & got a normal Dinoco crew except thatthe tires were yellow. I asked for the green one too, because they wouldn’t bring out the whole case, & they brought me Leakless crew. Nothing at WM. I should have asked about the Final Lap case at that one, but since they wouldn’t bring the whole case out, it was all I could do.
I should say the Dinoco ones had the square pitty, the one taht came out as a single & I can’t remember its name.
The case that we found this morning had identical squatty pittys with yellow tires for King (both sets) Maybe they are packed identical??
Maybe the person packing them had googly eyes…
All in the case I found had the three different pitties and all had yellow tires.
just found a rescue squad trooper with NO eyes..
He’s just pretending to be sleeping until someone speeds past him!
I found two cases of these . . . all 12 were correct .. . we have enough for every one in our house (3 of each set) and I have one extra set to go to another TFAD family member . . . they shall remain nameless . . . for now . . . . 🙂
Got the Dinoco and Chick sets today. Passed on Leakless since I already have the crew chief and don’t want to pay $19.99 for a couple of fat pitty’s.
Are these crew chiefs going to come out in a single package or is this set the only way you can get them? Between the $4.99 price increase and having to spend $19.99 to get the crew chiefs, I’m getting a little ticked off at Mattel.
Well STINK!! So I am upstairs getting ready for a jail break and lo and behold I got the King Pit Crew set that has 3 of the same pittys!! – Well, have to hold on to it until they get another set and trade em’ out.

Got em’ all 3 sets today – called Target with the DCPI’s and also the DCPI for the final lap stuff – HAD A CASE OF BOTH!!!!!!!! Got all I needed and some for my buddy. Put the rest on the shelf (you’re welcome Target) Hopefully this will make someone’s day 🙂
Definitely an interesting note on the variant but as I have often said – RELEASE THEM FROM THEIR PLASTIC PRISONS!! OPEN EM’ ALL!! 😉

Wow!! Better look closely. Apparently Mattel did some layoffs and downsizing. Took out the Quality Control department first!

I think we’re seeing the Monday/Friday syndrome here. Folks in China in too much of a rush to get the weekend of drinking going and the same people too hung over on Monday.
