Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Mater Tall Tales New 3 Cartoons Coming …
Coming November 20, 2009 – the first broadcast airing of Unidentified Flying Mater – on The Disney Channel, Disney XD and ABC Family. More specific details and actual air times as we get closer. Thanks for the heads up PirateDad.
“Unidentified Flying Mater,” Mater meets a cute little bucktoothed UFO named Mator, takes him out for a night of fun and they quickly become best friends. But when Mator is captured by the military, Mater and Lightning McQueen come to the rescue.
This should be out around that time or just after, the Mater UFO playset … yes, it’s a plastic Mater … like the Tractor Tippin’ playset, a under $20 simple playset.
Then the other two will air in 2010 … (they will also get a simple playset).
“Monster Truck Mater”
Mater is a professional wrestler who works his way up the ranks from amateur to World Champion Monster Truck Wrestler, wrestling all kinds of characters along the way. When faced with his biggest opponent yet, Mater tags in his “tag team partner,” Frightening McMean.
“Heavy Metal Mater”
Mater is a rock star in a heavy metal band. He starts out in a garage band and rises to the top with his hit song, “Dad Gum.” Lightning McQueen joins him on stage in the middle of a huge concert and they rock into history.

At which point Lightning (Boat) McQueen appears–as a James Bond-like half-car half-water vehicle–to save the day! (or perhaps to be saved by the one and only Blackbeard Mater!!) How do we write PD into this toon???
This is going to be great! I hope the shorts are on iTunes soon after the new three are out, cause pretty soon they’ll be seven shorts.
anyone else think that this could be a good idea for a tall tale?
Mater goes to New York and meets some friendly mafia cars who invite them into their club, they ask mater to do them a little favour by robbing a bank and mater realises what he has done and that they are bad cars he wants out the club and flees, the mafia cars chase him because he has seen to much, and mater painic and accidently leads them all to a police inpound lot, and mater is a hero!
and maybe McQueen can have a cameo as a New York Taxi that mater asks directions off while being chased!

yeah, was thinking of a black and gray Jay Limo type car, with little moustashe grille,
and the other mafia cars would be black posh cars,
if it is set in the 50s (with the old timey mafia cars) then Marylin Monroe and Charlie Chaplin can make cameos during the chase scene 🙂

Yeah, I am hoping for the same thing. I like our Stunt Mater playsets, but I don’t think I would buy the alien one. But I still want the little UFO guy! Do we have to buy this darned set to get Mator? I hope not. If we do… I will probably end up buying this set to get my little UFO Mator with buckteeth.

or weather he will be customised or painted diferetly like the others?

I felt Tokyo Mater had more of a story to it. It was structured a bit different than than the others.

the wrestling story sounds cool too. I just wished they would have saved the Monster Trucks in a story as actual ‘monsters’
