Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Disney Store Piston Cup Racers NOW Online
As predicted, all the 1:43(ish) scale Disney Store Piston Cup racers are available online now:
Of course, three of the Piston Cup racers were released already – Lightning McQueen, Chick & The King. Only Lightning McQueen is available online now but the other two should be available soon or at your local stores.
They are metal diecast bodies, and plastic tires.While the other ‘townies’ in the set vary in scale and accuracy of paint schemes, the three racers released so far prior to these were in scale to each other (Lightning McQueen, Chick & The King).

the disney cars are awesome. Mater is at least 7 oz. heavier than the mattel one, its the only one I have to compare weight on.

Are these diecast like the 1:55 line?
They ARE the real deal die-cast, if that’s what you’re asking? Good weight, excellent fit/finish. Good price, too. $5.50 each or 2/$10.00 in our stores.
I like the Mattel ones better. The Disney store ones do look good but if I start collecting another set I will be broke! (It is very tempting though. I wonder if I can hold out!)
P.S. Will they even be coming to Canada?

I got all the racers at a Disney Store in Indianapolis on Labor Day… I’m getting another set for a UK friend this weekend… I like them.
Damn…seriously… is Sidewall shine the only one that’s not being reprinted again? How come N2O cola is and sidewall shine isn’t? Stupid TRU promotion…. “We ran out….sorry”…. I may just have to go with a Custom… :-/ Anyways these look nice but I really don’t want to start another line unless the 1:55 won’t be getting Sidewall Shine back… 🙁

I really want to get my son that Sidewall Shine since his is safely parked in its plastic case. But $4.95 shipping on 1 car, I think I will wait until we are in Wisconsin to get one.
Or, I can grab an extra when we go on Saturday or Sunday and ship it in a mailing pouch for far less!
