Need Faux Wheel Drive, Sidewall Shine, Gask-Its, and that cool green and white one on the right 😉 Unfortunately, none of those are really available at retail or for less than $20 or $30, which is all I am ready to pay for a diecast car. Wish Apple car could be re-released, but it’s too hard with all the licensing stuff; plus, who doesn’t? If it was easy to do Mattel already would have, seeing how much money they could make off it.
I wonder what will happen first — the Apple iCar gets an official release, or the Beatles will finally release the “Let It Be” film on DVD.

Has anyone checked the 5for1promotion.com website today? It has been N20 Cola every day, but today… I got an error message “The website declined to show the webpage” . I am not sure if it is just down, or maybe they are updating it???? 🙂 Hopeful thinking….. Or, it could just be my computer being attacked by squirrels.

By the way – what a slap in the face that they have a hauler scheduled for Sidewall Shine, the racer you can’t get. Why not SpareOMint, who has a pitty and crew chief? Same for Easy Idle, Tank Coat, or Vitoline?
But I worry about the Haulers anyway… that’s one area where I think they made two critical mistakes.
One, putting the Mega Cabs into the Mega Sized line… why would I buy both? The pegs are choking on Mega Cabs now, but none of the other offerings are anywhere to be found; certainly not Elvis, Frank, Dustin or Sven – but you can’t even find the original six, not even a blimp or a biplane (both of which were better choices than Mega Cabs). Don’t get me wrong, we have every single Hauler (the boy already is playing with Mack and Gray – which, by the way, is a cruel joke to play on a 3 year old, “that’s right, the blue one is named Gray!”). I just see the Mega Size line getting cramped out, and the Haulers stalling as well.
Two, the assortment – too damn many of the same thing. You can pretty easily hit the big three and get a complete hauler collection with the possible exception of Jerry – and the shelves will still be jammed. Too few offerings in too many cases. I wonder if we’ll ever see any of the proposed haulers.

our store finally got megas, we hadn’t seen any since the original 6 that were on the walmart endcap and lightning storm is definitely NOT mega like the others or at least ours isn’t. Our lightning storm is only slightly bigger than a mainline.
My mack cab is also different than the hauler cab.
No problem with Lightning McQueen – we have him too – my problem is that the Mega Cabs seem redundant at best, pointless at worst. Who is going to buy that when they can have a whole truck for a few bucks more?

Where are Clutch Aid and Easy Idle?
I’m holding out hope for that N2O Cola Launcher; we still have ours in his lil plastic sarcophagus, so he can’t come out to play. Otherwise we are down to needing Sidewall Shine (curse you for taunting me with him in the front!) and the Mac iCar, neither of which we’ll ever get, I’m sure; still hoping Gask-Its and Tach-O-Mint are forthcoming.
