Turns out that there are three differences in this box …
Rescue Squad Chopper – same in 4-pack as the megasize Rescue Squad Chopper.
Mia & Tia compared to Mia & Tia from SDCC?
DIFFERENT.
SDCC Mia & Tia on left. Much more luminescent paint – and maybe 2-3 more coats of paint. Mouth has painted tongue and rubber tires.
Rescue Squad Box Mia & Tia – not as luminescent, still nice – less pronounced paint in mouth area.
AND … 4-pack Rescue Squad Mater is DIFFERENT than MEGASIZE RESCUE SQUAD MATER.
The one on the right is the 4-pack Mater, “You was there” expression and the one on the left is Megasize version, “That’s the gasoline & match factory!”

And of course, COMPLETELY different is the SDCC version with Double Ransburg, working ladder, rubber tires and much more detailing …
So, remember, buy them all, buy multiples and get out the jeweler’s loupe.
While it’s not positive that there are two versions of Burnt Lightning McQueen but it’s looking likely …

any idea on price on four pack?

I’m surprised to have seen this series in Toysrus Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia when I did my routine visit on the stores. TRU here used to be 2~3 months later than the release in the States. However this time around, I got the 2 4-car-boxset and all 5 single (except the 2 forklifts)
According to the staff, they just got the stocks yesterday, and I was so lucky to have gone to the shop. Only a few boxes they got.
Anyone from Malaysia here might consider visit the local TRU

Off topic – this is about the SDCC mater set – I ordered 3, one was perfect and the other two had damage to the packaging because they crammed them in really tight to a flimsy box. But my point is, they said they have more even tho it says sold out, and that they have to keep a certain amount in reserve for warranty issues. What do they do with all the extras after the warranty period is up? Do they still have more LSMQs? How long do they keep them? Do they keep the same number that were sold? I am sending mine back and they are sending me two new ones.
(MET: You’re right – they probably keep 1-2% back – normal warranty issues – after those are depleted, refund only).
Interesting. I just ordered the 1:24 McQ today and there hapenned to be a SDCC Mater set in my cart still from before and it still let me order it. We’ll see if it really still goes through.

The different expressions between the 4-pack Rescue Squad Mater and the Megasize Rescue Squad Mater are actually a cost cutting exercise designed by Mattel for their new ‘full body’lenticular line. All you do is line them up side by side and blink your eyes left and right.

I think they’ve been found at TRU already but I haven’t found them anywhere myself yet.
I’ve been checking the TRU in Middletown, NY for the last 3 weeks but they still have not gotten these in
Mega-Sized have been found at TRU in the US.
Tru in St. Louis had them 2 weeks ago. Picked up 3 sets at 3 different stores.
I picked up the ambulance and the helicopter as mega size singles in north metro Detroit TRU 10 days ago, none seen since.
And what about the Helicopter?
As far as I can see the two copters are exactly the same.
