Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: The Kmart & Opel CARS Posters
The two posters given away at the two Kmart CARS Day (last October and last month) were printed in small quantities … naturally.
It’s as if they think no one would be interested in a large oversized checklist of Disney Pixar CARS … certainly not pay actual money for one …
The poster for 2009 …
Though I guess neither are actually very complete …
In addition, there is the WM8 poster … and of course the MINI posters inside of each Race O Rama & Lenticular CAR.
For the DVD Release in France, the “Opel CARS” also made it onto a poster:
About 11×17, it folds out into a very special snapshot of Radiator Springs …
Of course, the Opel European promotions was pretty big time with TV ads that featured CARS that are not featured in the film …

Here is a story: One of My K-Mart’s had a NICE PLASTIC Display add at the front of the door.. I asked the mgt if I could have it after the big event was over with! She first said Yes! The event started on time all 3 of us was there Me, my son and one more lady! 3 hours later I went back and ask if it was ok for me to have the sign and the MGT said NOOOOOOOOO The sale is still going on! Dau the sign was to advertise the TIME AND DATE AND PLACE – All of which was over with!!!

I see alot on the poster I have never seen in the stores. As a casual collector for my son, what is the gig on Sheriff and Lizzie? It seems career/ebay collectors wipeout every shelf that I check. Btw, Bel Air, MD is the location. Thx 🙂

Ever since I first saw them, I’d wished that they’d do the Opels as die-casts…they’re quite charming!
That’s a scary wish.
Just imagine if they did that…you’d have American CARS collectors wanting them to complete their collection.
there was a poster with the UK promo of Vinyl toupee last year aswell. I have it somewhere. It advertised the 2008 supercharged line

With the way the car business is, maybe buy a 3 pack of Disney Pixar Exclusives Opels at Euro Disney and receive a FREE real Opel?!?!?!
You know, there are so many CARS-o-holics that switching the idea around may actually generate car sales: the only way to get the exclusive Disney Pixar Opels three-pack is to buy a REAL Opel. Now sit back and watch the Opel sales soar…
