Fun on a Friday
Ok, this post may not be CARS related specifically but I think it does fall within the genre of fun and amazing artwork (such as created by Pixar) so here on a Friday, enjoy a look back at a seminal list of cartoon and artist influences over the years (for those of you over 40 like me, you will get a particular nostalgic wave waft through your cortex) as produced by the artist Dan Meth. hey, since we are on artwork… I noticed this on Matty – “Limited Edition MOTU Art Book at SDCC” … limited to 1,000 and all. Was wondering if acura had some of his art inside?
Or maybe I just missed it in an earlier post…

Being 43 on 29 August (same day as the late Michael Jackson) I do recall a lot of memories. Loved Judge Dredd (although not the Sylvester Stallone uninspired movie, Richie Rich and Archie.
I met Plastic Bertrand a few years back when he was in Perth for a ‘Countdown’ concert (HTB aka Mat will remember Countdwon) which was an Australian Music TV show for many years. This was a concert of a bunch of old stars who performed. My mate John Schumann performed and I went backstage to catchup with him. My mate was lead singer of Redgum who performed a song that is an now an Australian icon called ‘I was only 19’ (my mate wrong the song as well as sings it).

Very cool video! I agree, you have to try not to blink for almost 3 minutes which is a little tricky, but worth it in the end. I love Edward Gorey. The Twelve Terrors of Christmas is very, very funny.

Asterix and Obelix were my favorite growing up and thanks to eBay, I completed the collection a few months ago!

Yes sir, but I tend to look at ages in terms of decades. So, at 27, she is 70% of the way from 20 to 30.

It is all good I hear that 40 is the new 30.
I don’t get older in August, but August 7th is my wedding anniversary, this year it’s 10 and both of my boys age in August, my oldest will be 7 on the 4th and my youngest will be 5 on the 20th.
August seems to be a pretty packed month!!
