Gotta admit I love your avatar, reminds me how I was in the thick of of building exactly him year ago today.
DarthMater, what a wild ride that was 🙂 It’s OK as long as I only have to do one in my lifetime.
If I remember correctly it took about 8/10 different Depts. here at Mattel to give birth to him. Damn…………..It turned out nice, just wish we could have got more for him @ the Dream Halloween Auction, bad economy surely didn’t help…..
Will he become a 1:55 lenny/blinker or classics/Final Lap or a Car Wars theme motif?
How much did he go for at auction?

OK – I’ll throw my plug in here for Nate too – he’s done a few diecast customs for me now and the quality of his work really is outstanding. Seriously do not hesitate to contact him and have a car worked on, he’s great to communicate with too.
Story of the day…
I’m out of town for work and I call my wife who was just at Target with our son.
Mrs. Hinkey: “We were just at Target”
Me: “Did you go down the cars aisle?”
Mrs. Hinkey: “Of course”
Me: “We are looking for Trunk Fresh Hauler and Sven”
Mrs. Hinkey: “Yeah I saw about 4 each of those, But I assumed that we already had them, because there were so many.”
Me: *WTF*
Mrs. Hinkey: “Don’t worry I’ll pick one of each up tomorrow. They will still be there.”
Me: *WTF?*
She has much to learn…..

I still have a voicemail at work saved since the Summer of 2006. On it, my wife is at Target and found Lizzie’s, Sarge’s, Wingo’s, DJ’s, Chick Hicks’s, Red & Stanley’s, Flo & Ramone’s, and the list went on and on. For those of you collecting back then, you know how fast I called cell phone as soon as I heard that message!!
Funny, my wife does the same thing too, except she actually buys them! 😛
BTW, I finally found Trunk Fresh hauler yesterday. The Target by me just got a new box, they had four in all.
