Of course, your CARS list tops at just over 100 items right now for the next 4 months 🙂 … and Mater Tall Tales is one box on the chart … but it’s really more like a cavalcade or hail of CARS … in the sense that you will be pelted and beaten down until you hand over your wallet shouting “You’re My Uncle! You’re my Uncle Martin”

(Kori from WM8) From the quick screen time, it does not look like she is wearing a mask or nurses cap but does have white tires so my guess is it will be Kori with no press pass and white tires ….
And the Rescue Squad Trooper looks exactly like Axel – and it looks like Rescue Squad Trooper also reads “Highway Patrol” – so it seems safe to bet it’s just Axel with a new nameplate …

ok seriously this guys says he has pretty much all of the mater tall tales stuff we have seen so far for rescue squad mater, and for mater the greater. They all say loose though.

Clearly these people that have “New Factory Releases” before the actual market have them “in hand” or from actual factory pre-sales are no better than the local drug pusher(s) on the street corner. These are “out the back door” theifs and I do not support them.
They should be dealt with and dealt with harshly. HK Suppliers and re sellers alike. They mislead the public. No better than a money counterfeiter. In fact they are worse because the outrageous prices they get. Might as well send them stolen money for them.

I’m not fully carsvinced that kori is the sexy GTO in this short. Just my opinion after looking at her body lines, too much of a force fit in this scrubs opinion, pun intended. They wear scrubs……….. 😉

Unfortunately for you this is just the beginning of what’s coming. As the old saying goes, “Be careful what you wish for”. I remember hearing when I first started reading this blog, ” where are the new Cars? Why do we keep seeing all the same characters? This blows………… 🙁
As I said, it takes a while, but once we get going we’re not gonna stop. This is just the first Tall Tale of a total of 6 that are coming. You’ll see some new protos at The Con in 13 days.
I’m gonna send Met some lousy photos that I’ll take of the upcoming Sarge’s Boot Camp and The Christmas Special Packs. Don’t mind the unpainted/undeco Characters and the wacky tap offs. They still look great and will look even better once Ryan”the Real Deal” Gleason and his crew do their magic.

OK, so I’m confused…seeing the Rescue Mater 4 pack, I’m guessing there is not much reason to pick up the SDCC 3 car set – are the 4 pack mega or regular size?
SDCC set is going to be a special paint, Red Randsberg style.
Special fire-flicker box set.

I forgot, is this all of the cars that will be released for the Rescue Squad Mater set? And is it me or does the Burnt McQ in the pictures have a different face than the one in the box? Will there be 2 different Burnt LMcQs?
I agree that the faces are different. I like the one in the box the best. Hard to say since these are proto types but I bet Martin might know!

Don’t worry in the no so distant future every new cars release
(or whatever else we want) will be shipped directly to us from the factory with the money directly subtracted from our our implanted chip.
Just work to put enough credits on your chip and you will be okay.That
is at least until the powers that be no longer have use for us. For now
though I will be paying my dollars that I work for like the rest. Let’s
face it as a collector, er I mean as parents of collectors don’t we have to try and get them all. I’ll tell you I don’t know if It will be a happy day(will not have to buy anymore) or a sad day when the little guy grows out of his Cars phase.
My 3 year old son may grow out of it, my 2-week old son may grow out of it, but I dont think i’m gonna ever grow out of it…at least not before they are…and by the looks of things, this car-line will never end and will continue to cost us a lot of money until we die…

Nice price increase. Oh, that’s right. It’s part of the Storytellers line. They’re what, $2.50 more than the regular cars for pretty much the same things, just different packaging. Hmmm, re do Axle and re do Kori, put them in boxes and sell them for what amounts to $5.50 each. Nice. The lenticulars aren’t exactly flying off the shelves at $3.99. Why does Mattel think re-issueing a car with a different badge or missing a sticker BUT put into a new box deserves a $2.50 price increase? Tons of people were looking for Todd, he’s a regular release and he only cost what, $3.99 at Kmart. Salutin Sarge, currently the HOTTEST release TO DATE only commands $3.99 at WM. (and that’s only because WM sells it as a Lenticular, not as one of the old mainlines) If they priced Salutin Sarge where he should be priced, he’d be $2.69 or $2.99. Either way, this is just a complete RIPOFF. Bring out new releases in special packaging and charge more, fine. But sticking a Highway Patrol sticker on Axle or removing a Press sticker from Kori and jacking up the price. Wow. Mattel, you just love having your BEST customers bend over and grab their ankles.

Hey Met, was there ever a post that explained why Axels front rims are black?
(MET Not officially but my belief is that it’s a homage to cop cars in TV/movies where they tend to lose rims in chase scenes as they go rounding corners).
That makes perfect sense. Just one of those great little details thought up by the greatest little CARS designers in the world. (was that a bit much?) I think not!
Resistance is futile… I thought I might pass on the Mega Size… but must collect them all… please make it easy for us to find them all.

These do look great! I am most excited about Mater’s Tall Tales and the Storytellers right now. There are some really interesting cars these two lines.
