Limits on all exclusives will be six per person, per visit to the Mattel booth.
If you choose to wait in line a second time, you’ll be eligible to buy another 6 figures (there will also be a limit of six figures for online purchases after the show). It should all go very smoothly for the best buying experience yet!”

Each SDCC RS Mater box set weighs about 10 ounces and the dimensions are 5 x 9 x 5 inches so plan your carry away scheme as no rolling carts are permitted and walking to and from your car is a good 40-minute round trip …

It’s SUNDAY, July 26, 2009 at SD Comic Con – ROOM 5AB – 2:00 PM. There is no additional charge nor is there a ticket required (you do need a Sunday ticket for SDCC), just show up at 1:45 PM on Sunday just in case you’d like to meet and talk about CARS. 🙂

Cool, if I’m ever down under I will let you know. Yes, we figured this would be strickly a Collector purchase don’t take out of package purchase. Again, it was just a cost thing. Love to get down one day 🙂

Intially I proposed the molded acrylic case, I evem handmsde one myself as a mock up to show. However, it would have been more than what they wanted to charge, the $30
I don’t control the price point, I just have to hit whatever that price is with something compelling. That’s when Packaging stepped in with the less expensive diorama with try me LED’s.
So far no one who has seen this has said they would have preferred a acrylic case 🙂

Martin for the record I have no problems if the exclusive is not in an acrylic case. Hell it could come in glad wrap and I’d still take it. Mat has pommie blood in him so he was just having a whinge and I was just having a lend of him.
Mat actually said to me when he came over to get his Kmart case that he still wants one. Although I’d would point out that Mat is an opener so it does beg the question of why he even cares what kind of packaging it comes in. I on the other hand keep mine in the package, buy my two boys one each and play with theirs.
Just remember Martin if you come to Australian then you have to visit us (me & Mat live on the West side which is superior to the rest of Australia but since Matt is such a whinger you can just visit me and forget about him.
When do they go on sale via Matty?

Its going to be similar to the Race n Chase set from Target, and about the same size as Batman – Batgirl 3 pcs set from Hotwheels last year.

It looks like a flimsy plastic box that the Cars come in similar to what may be bought at the shops. For some reason I was expecting a hard plastic box like the N20 Cola Cars and SDCC McQueen. I feel a little let down given the great turnaround in packaging recently.

Mattel wood authorize the extra expense thinking we wood not pony up the extra coin…so they went classy but not cheap!! Martin has done an AWESOME job on this and the case is not the reason to buy it anyways!
SDCC 2010:
I am working on getting us a block of rooms from M6 so we can all car pool and hopefully save a few bucks in the process.
Tickets for 2010 SDCC:
4day + preview night passes go on sale AT 2009 SDCC. These will more than likely sell out faster this year. Do not wait.

Thought there was talk of CC leaving San Diego and moving to Vegas next year.
(MET: There are plans to expand the Convention Center but it might take a while even after approval so Comic Con might take a road trip to Vegas for a year if it conflicts with construction but my guess is SDCC can wait a year to sell an extra 30,000 tickets 🙂 …).
