Yeah, it was not fun but glad to see we were offline for not very long. Freaking spammers. One of our resident propellar-heads said that 40,000 websites worldwide had been attacked since Monday so some nasty script was at work apparently. Thank you all for your patience.
I thought I personally got blocked, till I emailed some other local traders…It’s not like I’ve been dropping F-Bombs in my posts 🙂

I think this was a retaliatory attack by Kmart for everyone refreshing the Collectors case assortment link every 30 seconds….

That is no fun I have been on that end of a DOS attack and there is not much you can do. Glad you are back 🙂

Yeah it is not cool. Last time it happened to me, I remember it well, I was working as a system admin for a small medical practice and someone was attacking our firewall and IP range. I had a bunch of angry doctors wanting to know why they couldn’t use the internet and check their stock updates to see how much more money they had made that day 😉
