Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Target Sale
Hopefully, this sale at Target is a shelf cleaning one because they want to stock a bunch ‘o new stuff … or at least we can wish it were so.
Of course, the Movie Moment “clearance-like” sale price hopefully will mean we will FINALLY get some new Movie Moments …

There is also a sale on megasized – selection – not sot so much unless you have just decided to start buying some megasize CARS – then jackpot! $4.99
Though the listing of a “regular” price at $7.14 is an oddity, I do not recall that price – maybe reflects the price increase?
Also, some MINI’s on sale – the 2-packs …
And the Mini’s 6-packs …
Maybe it means the next three MINI 6-packs are coming soon?

I went out on a whim on Sunday, and got met with bupkiss.
Toys R Us still looked like it hadn’t had any new product in ages. the remnants from maybe CAse D were on the shelves, and the newest thing I saw was an Octane Gain hauler, Greta, and a Dustin Mellows.
Target was even less thrilling, still with the many rows of Trunk Fresh Pitty and Tumbleweed McQueen. I did sadly note that they had put out the ROR launchers, but was there too late to pick up Re-Tread. 🙁
And I agree: if there’s any two cars that needed a Movie Moments, it’s Mini and Van. At the very least, repaint them and give us ‘wandering the desert Mini and Van.’ I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting a Van with crazy-eyes and dead-bug stubble.
Mike, I just emailed 80 other members of Take5aDay, and none of them want to see this Movie Moments combo of Mini & Van.
psst, I was just kidding!! If Mattel thinks no one wants it, they will produce it, so stay tuned!
Furthermore Mike, it was unanimous that we need to see more Movie Moments of Guido & Luigi in their Ferrari gear. Oh, what a fantastic release that is!

Tell Mattel we DO want it, they’ll go the opposite way and make things available that we REALLY DO want(thinking that they’re still making things that we DON’T want)!
I think that a Mater with the Ghostlight and the Screamin Banshee MM wood be a terrible idea…. no one wood want it and it wood make children cry!
Yes, and please make the Banshee so small it actually fits in the MM package!
My Target had count them 11 dinoco mia tias about 8 luigi guidi race fans
3 tex and dinoco and 4 sally and cruisin mcqueen—- I hope this sale moves these out of the store as they have been there for months
These may go the way of the TRU exclusive “Movie Doubles”, IMO.
TRU still had Movie Doubles and they were like 7.49 or so last weekend.
If Target pays attention to what happened with TRU on the Movie Doubles and other TRU exclusive sets, Target buyers should then cancel their orders! From what I see TRU seems to be on its last legs here.
Yep, I’m sure Target will completely sell out of all Guido & Luigi 2-packs by the end of the week!!
Actually, I can envision those going on Double-Secret Clearance beginning June 1.
Dean Wormer(JiM), TRU should be on Double-Secret Probation, if you ask me! Their failure to have a delivery of CARS at our nearby stores for over 6 weeks is beyond cruelty.
My TRU is horrible too!! I don’t even know why I bother checking there anymore!
Our TGT sale on Mega Size consisted of only Barney and Blimp. 🙁
I managed to pick up a PT Flea & Flik, 2 WOC Dinoco twins, 1 WOC Red Mia and Tia, and a Cutlass/Cartrip MM at 6 different Target stores on Sunday. Not much selection at all, and without the new ROR Patti/Mario with red rims being in the first case, I see none that I will buy. The only mega size I saw were Al Oft and Gray Semi. I was hoping to find the Mini Gray Hauler and mini No Stall/Tank Coat 2 pack, but it was all old stuff, including several that I found at a Big Lots for $2.00 each the previous weekend.
I did buy the 3 new case D 3 packs at a small town Walmart in western Ohio on Friday, but have not seen them anywhere else yet…

I think it’s funny how they put Movie Moments regularly at $6.99 — that was only for a couple of weeks! They are really regularly what, $8.99?
Dinoco Twins MM got two for 3.99 ea. Funny to see the Dinoco three paks for 10.99 on the shelf at Target along side the Dinoco MM. Doesn’t everyone have Dinoco McQueen? Found two Chick Fans Mia/Tia at a rural Walmart on the way home from Memorial Day weekend, along with the Shiny Wax trio, but Spare O Mint three pak was gone already.
I wish our Stupid stores wood clear out the old stock and then Mattel wood send NEW singles…
The only problem I can see with you Movie Moment theory, is that even when you start getting ROR MM, there are NO new cars…new package and the 2 Helicopters, but nothing NEW…same old marketing ploy… DON’T FALL FOR IT!!!!
They need to let the Movie Moments RIP! The 3 Car Gift Packs are much better. At least until Mattel messes up the contents.
