I have no control over what happens between the time case assortments are announced and what happens when it actually leaves Mattel’s warehouse.
Though it is ALL TRUE that with my TakeFive tugboat, I was able to redirect the last Mattel ship to my island where they were seized under the ‘Plastic Feather Act of 1952.’ I am enjoying my 10,000 Dinoco Showgirls. It’s amazing what you can do with a tugboat, a bullhorn and a hat that says Harbor Patrol.
So, here’s the next case assortments but please do not bet your kid’s college fund on it … as Matty would say, “If it’s swell, it’s subject to change.”
Though a true gambling man would push all in and BUY, BUY, BUY* … just kidding!
This may be the Dexter Hoover with checkered flag.
This should close out the ROR motif for 2009 … or if Mattel decides to change earlier, then, nevermind.

Hey Met, do we have any NEWS on wether these 3 pack cases will continue as planned?? just wondering if we might be seeing the NEWEST case of 3 packs soon . . . I think the Showgirls E case has pretty mush BURNED out!

I’ve been buying these 3 pack assortments extensively… but I’m seeing some upcoming assortments that I’m possibly going to pass on…
Case G is a likely purchase. E and F are questionable and I really want the Dinoco Showgirls…and H has one new Car… but it is Pit Crew Sarge.
I’ll wait until the get closer to shipping, because the 3 packs tend to be the product that is most likely to be associated with those 3 words we hate to hear, “Subject to change”.
I really like the recently released D case with the 2 Chick/Chick Fan Mia/Chick Fan Tia and the Team Spare O Mint – finally able to open a Team Spare O Mint (Team Spare Mint just rolls of the tongue a little more easily).

are those 2 finished line mcqueen the same in the 2 different 3-packs? the ones have stretched out tongue?

Wow, I guess I’m not too impressed with the selections for case assortment on these. Even the Chick fan Mia/Tia will end up pegwarmers now. How on earth will they find a way to stack on these on the Dinoco Mia/Tia and Luigi/Guido 3 packs that already clogging all the shelves? 🙂

Your original question made sense. And I actually must disagree — rather than pegwarmers, they are shelfwarmers! 🙂
Regarding the package with Damaged King and Finish Line McQueen, they should put a magnet in the front of Lightning, and one in the back of the King so they can attach while kids push them across the Finish Line.
Also, I’m surprised that none of the first 8 commenters asked if Dexter Hoover would have a checkered flag!
But Finish Line McQueen doesn’t have any back tires(that 3 pack only works for the first race, with Chick included)……he was intact when he pushed The King across the line. (If his tongue was out and he was pushing The King……..that’s not a good picture.)
But now you’ve come up with another idea for a 3-pack!!!
Damaged King, regular Lightning, and Dexter waiving the checkered flag!!!

I wonder if that’s why Met differentiated between Finish Line McQueen and Stretch Tongue McQueen?
Oooohhh… wonderful case assortments, look at ALL the NEW ones!!! 6 NEW Cars (3 of which are in one case), and one NEW flag in FOUR total cases… woohoo!!!

After just getting a “switcharoo” case which I had ordered because of the 2 3-packs of Showgirls and ending up with 2 3-packs of Chick/Mia/Tia, I’ll take my chances in the stores. Too much of a risk of duplication.

These cases are why I don’t order cases anymore.
