Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Aroldo Makes His Own …
As if Aroldo Pongetti needed a bigger challenge but hey, what about a CAR body is not really available? Have no fear, Aroldo is here!
If I had to guess, I would’ve thought Artie the TV Director was “Chuck Manifold” but Aroldo is right – he is definitely more of a coupe … or to jump ahead, where we see Snot Rod, Aroldo sees Artie in a few easy steps (well for him). I’m not even most Photoshopers can change Snot Rod into Artie 🙂
Simple, right? Just remove the engine – fill in the gap seemlessly and raise the front end.
Oh yea, and make your own custom headphones to fit him …
Almost done. Now paint like you’ve painted before 🙂
Done.
Did you finish yours in 2 easy steps?
Sadly, the paint job here is about 100 times nicer than the one on my real car.
Is it wrong to want to rub a diecast on my face?
Again, too nice!
Again for those unclear, CUSTOM (above) … FAKE (below) … ARTIST (above) … IDIOT WITH BIRD DROPPINGS AND NEWSPAPERS (below).
Thanks Aroldo …

Excellent job again! But what is that last picture?
I wish I could do that! Then I could just recreate all the race cars instead of waiting for them all to get here!!!!
WOW!!!!!
That’s Just AWESOME!!! I would never be able to do that!!!
By The way, I found an awesome cars collectible Met!! It’s an awesome display case!! Is there an Email adress that I could use to send you pictures of it?
(I know this is off topic, but I’d Just like to know.)

Tasty lookin’ stuff dudes!!!
“Just remove the engine – fill in the gap seamlessly and raise the front end.”
Well dip me in axle grease, and call me slick…WOW!!
Great job Aroldo. A true artist.
Met, I’m sorry but comparing the shot of Snot Rod to the animation still, it looks quite obvious that the director is the same body style as Snot Rod. The lines of the front bumper, the rear sill and body curve below the rear quarter window. I don’t see much of Chuck Manifold anywhere. Oh, except on the pegs where he’s warming up the area nicely with Hank, Gretta and Andrea. 🙂
Intersting that Pixar chose to use the file on Snot Rod to create the director character, yet they didn’t change the wheels. Sure they filled in the hood and changed the stripe on the tire from red to white, but the rims look the same. Hard to imagine the director having those super wide drag slicks for rear tires. Has anyone done a count of how many different body styles there are in the movie? Any insight Martin?
hey guys . . . I can do this in my sleep . . . ’cause when I sleep I am dreaming of being a Carstastic Customizer . . . and I can do ANYTHING . . . IN MY DREAMS! 🙂
you are a dreamer..you are a poet..
we are all dreamers! (:-))
