But then a ray of sunlight beamed through … CARS!
Jason T. stumbled upon CARS in a store called FiveBelow which sadly is not some snowbound icy tundra design store but merely meaning you get stuff Five Dollars or Less …
As Jason T reports …
“The whole notion of the store is that it is a cross between a dollar store and say big lots (a close out store) with a couple differences. First of all everything is $5 or less, and as far as what they carry it’s a mix between close outs and just plain old cheap stuff below 5 bucks. It’s just like a close out store you never know what you are going to find. It’s not exactly a store I frequent much but the other day the wife wanted to go look for some clothing which I wasn’t to interested in so I went in there instead. I was a little surprised when I found a few A cases of ROR on the shelves, I did manage to get 2 impound mcqueens out of the assortment so that was nice. If they continue picking up the leftovers from mattel it might be an excellent source for some to find older chases if they have missed out in the conventional channels. The only bad thing is that they are only in I think 8 states or so on the east coast. Some of them that I can remember are: VA. WV. NH. MD. PA. and there are a couple others. They have them for 3 bucks …”

Did anyone notice that the blue “Chase” snipe on Chuki ROR Japanese card says: “CHASE PACKAGE” as opposed to the regular cards that only have the word “CHASE” on them…?
(MET: What, you didn’t notice she was CHASE because the 4th right eyelash is longer than regular Chuki? okay, just kidding – I’m sure the lawyers made ’em 🙂 ).
Gotta ask though, Dude-Met-Dude…

This is the story that we have here from out in the field. Back to you Met in the studio….
Just to let any UK take 5ers that disney store looks like they have a sale on singles they are £2.50 EACH instead of £3.50 and they have case B and C ROR. Needless to say after going in last week and them having loads and loads of new ones in my local was a bit bare tonight. But i was informed there will be more in the morning.
Also TRU is buy one get one half price.
Wow! This store still exists? Haven’t seen one since I lived in Va Beach.
I really thought this blog was gonna be about shopping for Cars in Alaska or somethin.
I hit both in Va Beach only one had some impounds…bought them all…
