“Character CARS” refers to the mainline singles … and of course the megasized/oversized CARS along with the Mini Motorized CARS.
TRU also has Smurfs on sale.
Over at Kmart – as reported, singles are at $2.49 but now the 3-packs are on sale this week also …

TRU in Tacoma WA is having a Buy Two Lightning McQueens-Get One Free Lightning McQueen promotion going. Chose among several different red Cars-Wow! Excitement is Unlimited!
Meanwhile in Belgium… prices seem to drop here also! Several big toy chains have dropped the price of single cars by at least € 2 and haulers up to € 6 off! Too bad we are so behind on cases. Most stores are on the end of WOC or on Case A of ROR.
even before the sale, Cars in Australia retail for about 300-400% times that price. ripped off.
The Cars electric guitar on their website does looks cool though.
They also have purple Ramone with Trailer on their site for 8.99 + shipping.
I try to avoid TRU as much as possible. Seems like it is always a wasted trip.
TRU has the Octane Gain hauler on their site now for $13.99, a dollar cheaper than in the store for some reason

One of my TRU’s here in San Diego has decent stock of everything but the newest case (G I think it is) and also has the new haulers in stock (sold out of Jerry already though). The other TRU had nothing but a few Dudley Spares and McQ’s on the pegs. Very sad. They did have a nice stock of Megasized though, including Dustin (but no Elvis).
If you are a Lego fan, Legos are buy one set, go one 50% off.

I had no idea of this sale. I went to TRU today around 4pm, and the regulars were cleared out! Only thing that remained were 3-5 Nightvision McQueens.
(Looks at the Smurf on clearance with the gold smurf) Now that’s something Gargamel would have wanted. He had a song about getting gold from smurfs:
Oh I’ll fry a few and pickle a few,
And serve a few real cold.
Then I’ll toast a few, and roast a few,
And boil six Smurfs for gold.
Guess this is the new economy- buy what we have, and don’t expect anything new until maybe August.
please forgive the dumb question im about to ask–
these new haulers that have been announced? are they smaller than the mack original hauler, or are the ones i see in the stores it?? just curious- or are there 2 sets of haulers, small and regular size–please let me know, thanks in advance and sorry for sounding silly.

why are these haulers smaller, i can see the trailor being smaller but why the entire scale change???

It depends on the store… I found many Case E singles at a Kmart in Santa Barbara, CA earlier this week while on vacation. Back home in the eastern Indiana / western Ohio area, I did find Jerry and Octane Gain haulers and the C Case 3 packs (Bruiser/Wide Chick Pitty/Mater and Team No Stall) at one of 4 Kmart stores the last 2 days…
The $2.49 at Kmart would be even greater if they had anything new to buy! I was at TRU yesterday and the only really “new’ stuff they had was the Octain Gain hauler which I already found weeks ago at Kmart.
They have a good sale, but there is nothing good to buy at these store since there really is no stock…
(MET: Oh sure, but that would be way too much work – we’d have shoppers, people who want clerks to ring up purchases … that would be crazy! 🙂 ).
