Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: It’s a Phone, Home …

Complete your Disney Pixar CARS CARS decoratin’ with a Lightning McQueen phone.

phone

It’s look very nice, it’s the 1:24 Lightning but with a cord 🙂

Of course, you’ll have to explain to the kids that the headset portion actually is attached by a wire to the phone base …

back1

How quaint.

Kids will be stumped how they can Skype on this thing … “This is not USB.”

top-box

Calling occupants of interdimensional CARS fans …

bottom

I’m not supposed to mix new & old batteries? Does that apply to pacemakers?

bottom-nox

Nice looking box … much nicer when you have access to official art unlike bootlegger and pirates …

with-box

But it’s more than a McQueen shaped phone …

box1

Well, it’s not really animated but it does have a lot of fun features …

back-of-box

Vibrates and has 5 phrases as your ringtone …

“Shane-O” not only sent all these great pics but also the video showing the phone in action. Thanks Shane-O and get some shuteye! 🙂

It seems to be available at Amazon.

Where do I buy one and does it actually work as a home phone?

(MET: Search on EBAY for Disney Cars Animated Lighting McQueen Phone).

  • Lorri says:

    wasnt it the Carpenters

  • buckland-blowouts says:

    Hey DUDE-MET-DUDE…

Was that a reference to Klaatu? Calling occupants of Interplanetary Crafts…?

Or am I just WAY off?!?!?!?

(MET: Yea, way off … believe it or not, that was (is?) the official song of “World Contact Day.” Without the internet, I’ll bet you can never guess who sang the original version … good luck and no using the internets).

So what would happen if you mixed old and new batteries? Or is it just so evil I don’t want to know.

(MET: Can you throw battery acid on batteries? Or as Fillmore might ask – why do we park on the driveway but drive on parkway? 🙂 )

    • 5oclockshadow says:

A lil lost on the response, but did get off my lazy butt and find the answer. Oh wait, i was still sittin on my lazy butt and found the answer. —————

Not only will this make them run slower, but the old batteries can leak or rupture, causing damage to not only the new batteries, but the equipment in which all the batteries were housed. ———

and now I have learned something

Ok, and one more random question of the day ….

Do you think Brand new Mater will appear in Cars 2 or will he be reverted back to his old rusty self?

And if you have tried driving through Dallas during rush hour, then you definitely will park on the parkway 😉

where is that wire going? :0

I have one of these and actually use it sometimes. The only drawback (OK, there is more than one….) is when you get ready to set the phone part back in the cradle, you get a really great screeching feedback sound!!

It does however make a great addition to the collection – if just for a novelty!

    • L33t0nG says:

That it does! But we don’t use it that much. I hate corded phones, and the landlines don’t get used that much. It just looks like a nice extra for teh cars collection 🙂 They haven’t slacked of with the detail. I think its perfect. Not a decal out of place..

My ADSL Filters are playing up too. So i get a scratching type noise if i’m on the phone.. I have to take my adsl cable out the filter (thus disconnecting me) to hear properly. The other end doesn’t hear the noise though..

  • L33t0nG says:

Well i be the “Shane-O” in question.. And its awesome.. The detail of it is second to none! Lol.. The phone doesn’t really get used much.. I mainly use my mobile phone (cell phone) But it was a nice extra touch for my cars collection 😀

    KAAAACHOW!

    • L33t0nG says:

P.s Nope i still not been to sleep.. Caffeine overload now! High as a kite!!

    • MiaSenorita says:

Looks cool Shane-O! My in laws only have corded phones because their teenage daughter will lose anything not tied down. Many times the cordless was found in the bottom of her car outside… So corded phones still have their place 🙂

      (MET: 😆 ).

  • PirateDad says:

This wood be my first Car Phone! What is this Cell phone you speak of…in canada, we only get one call from our cell, only usually it is to our lawyer!!!

  • bryan decker says:

how about a cell phone shaped like a die cast lmq

(MET: You mean a 1:55 CAR? Chuki or Fred is about the right weight for an earpiece … customizers! Where are you!?).

  • BMW says:

The phrases are great. Kachow! Does anyone still have a landline?

    • MiaSenorita says:

Haha, we have one only because it made our internet bill cheaper to “bundle”! But I have no idea what the phone number even is….

    • Steve AKA: Poppa says:

Yep, we do! No cell! My car has been run into twice by people using cell phones-once when I was stopped at a traffic light. Usually, the kids ask me what would happen if somebody in the family died and they were trying to get me. I tell them the person would still be dead. I personally do not want to be able to connect with everybody all the time. I thoroughly enjoy my piece and quiet. I especially get a kick out of those ear piece jobbies, where you cannot tell if the person is talking to you, talking on the telephone or is a nut job.

Our daughter has one line and it’s a cell, so that makes sense-no duplication of service and she can take it anywhere.

Our granddaughter when she was two, called 911, which generated a call back from the police department because she broke the connection. Keep McQ phone unplugged and away from the kids. You’d be surprised what they learn from television. 🙂
