I’m a 13 years-old brazilian guy starting eighth grade. I live in the southern of my country in a city named Joinville. I have an incredible love for north-american culture and english language. Big fan of movies and I also collect DVDs. I have 86 cars (counting haulers, playsets, launchers, movie moments, 3-packs, over-sizeds and singles), 57 are brazilians and 29 are imported from USA, and also a custom Golden McQueen.

Jun. 2006, when the movie (and the toys) came to Brazil.

Mater, the only car in the store!

HOW LONG BEFORE YOU HAD CAR #2?
2 days. When I found Lightning McQueen, Sally and Sheriff in another store.

WHEN DID YOU DECIDE/REALIZE YOU NEEDED MORE THAN ONE?
When I found Filmore, DJ, Chick Hicks and Doc Hudson.

WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD TO GO BIG INTO THIS THING?
1 second after the series supercharged aired in USA.

WHAT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE HEARD ABOUT COLLECTING THESE CARS? (NEVER YOU, SOME OTHER PERSON’S CRAZY STORY).
Sell a car (real car) to buy Motor Speedway Of South.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CAR?
It’s really hard to answer but will be Sarge, Dustin Mellows, Jerry Recicled Batteries, Bumper Stickers Fred and Pizza Planet Truck.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION?
The list is huge but the most importants are: Leroy Traffik, Hank “Halloween” Murphy, Greta, Tumbleweed McQueen and Tach-o-Mint.

SAY HI TO Dikenlitel. He sent us the great photos of the Turkish CARS magazine a few weeks ago. That takes dedication to collect CARS from so far away and one mint, one to open!  … Something tells me your son doesn’t mind being ‘sent to his room?’ 🙂

BIO? Altan, 45 from Istanbul, Turkey. A Cars lover. Selling doors. My son Arda, 4.5, addicted to the Cars, like me. My collection is unopened, his is playable. He enjoys more than me, I guess.

WHEN DID YOU START? December 2006. I had no idea about the film or Cars toys at all.

WHAT WAS THE FIRST CAR YOU GOT? Since I am a fire engine collector, I touched Red and Stanley first.

My first purchase included 2 x Red & Stanley, Lizzie, Sheriff, Doc Hudson, Mater, Filmore and Sarge and Luigi, Guido & Tractor, Ramone & Flo for my own. All were desert back. I wasn’t into Nascar stuff then, so I didn’t pay attention to the racers then, McQueen, King and Chick.

HOW LONG BEFORE YOU HAD CAR #2? I purchased the second lot two days later. All the racers, McQueen, King, Chick, Nitroade, Leak Less, Sally and Tuners except Wingo.

WHEN DID YOU DECIDE/REALIZE YOU NEEDED MORE THAN ONE? In fact when I spent almost 4 times of a regular Hotwheels model (app USD 9 for a single and USD 18 for a Movie Moments), I realized that that’s it. Decision ? While watching the film for the first time, after my son (2.5 then) started to cry when McQueen slipped (*) to the highway.  Since then, I purchased 2 or 3 each, one for my son to play, one for me unopened with some variants.

WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD TO GO BIG INTO THIS THING? After I purchased Wingo on ebay and gave it to my son, we walked on the streets, said hello to all store owners, buthcher, shoeshiner, baker, everybody we met down the road, showed Yyyingooo each of them. The Cars vault became crazy right after this event.

WHAT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE HEARD ABOUT COLLECTING THESE CARS? (NEVER YOU, SOME OTHER PERSON’S CRAZY STORY 🙂 ). Cars were quite popular here in 2007, but collecting is not very common. Personally I don’t have friends around me collecting Cars so do stories. But as an ebay buyer, I can see some of the transactions sound very crazy to me even mines.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CAR? Red for sure. A Pixar Car and a Fire Engine. Who wants more ?

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION? A decent seller who doesn’t charge me millions for shipping, a combination of a Walmarter, a Targeter, a TRUer, a collector, a trader.
SAY HI TO LiamsMom … How come all the kids are smiling when around CARS? Someone should study that 🙂 … Second photo is I believe the re-creation of Al Oft straffing all the CARS 🙂

BIO?  I am a stay at home mom currently.  My son, Liam is 2 years old and he keeps me very busy.  Prior to having my son I was a mental health therapist working with children.  My husband has his own business and works from home.  I should add that he doesn’t understand my fascination with Cars.

WHEN DID YOU START?  October 2008  We are fairly new to the hunting and gathering of Cars.

WHAT WAS THE FIRST CAR YOU GOT?  Brand New Mater (because we couldn’t find plain old Mater)

HOW LONG BEFORE YOU HAD CAR #2?  3-4 days later we had Radiator Springs McQueen

WHEN DID YOU DECIDE/REALIZE YOU NEEDED MORE THAN ONE?  My son started playing with his Cars ALL THE TIME.  He hardly played with his other toys, so naturally, he needed his other favorite characters.

WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD TO GO BIG INTO THIS THING?  As I started buying Cars for Liam, I kept finding more and more that I thought were cool.  Our collection has steadily grown.

WHAT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE HEARD ABOUT COLLECTING THESE CARS? (NEVER YOU, SOME OTHERPERSON’S CRAZY STORY  ).  I haven’t really heard any crazy stories, but I have spent time on ebay and everything is pretty crazy on there.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CAR?  My favorite is Leroy Traffik.  I just love that little tire!  Liam’s is more of a purist and still loves his Mater and McQueen.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION?  Every cool car I have seen on this site in the past 2 months.
