Hmm. Donât remember cause I bought more than one.
HOW LONG BEFORE YOU HAD CAR #2?
Seconds after the first. Kmart had a buy 2 get 1 free offer. I came away with about 9 cars that day. The hunt began when I looked at the back of the card and saw 23 cars âCOLLECT THEM ALLâ.
WHEN DID YOU DECIDE/REALIZE YOU NEEDED MORE THAN ONE OF EACH?
I realized I needed more than one set shortly after my youngest son was born. If my oldest son shares his collection, I can keep the other set in package. If things go the way they are right now, the sharing is not going to happen and I will have to give up my set. Then that would mean I would have to get approval from my wife to start a 3rd. Oh my.
WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD TO GO BIG INTO THIS THING?
When I took over the cars hunting responsibilities from my wife cause she was slacking. I suppose my personality is more addictive than hers. When I start something, I am going all out. Not just buy a car cause it was cute or cause it was a main character.

people spending hundreds to buy a car that will be available within weeks.
WHATâS YOUR FAVORITE CAR?
Dale Jr. But I really enjoy all the Piston Cup Racers. We are huge NASCAR fans and can relate the Piston Cup Racers to real life racing.
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION?
Tach-o-mint, Apple, Faux Wheel Drive plus any racers not in our collection. Not part of the movie, but I would also love to add a Disney Cars custom Loweâs #48 and and a custom Miller Lite #2.

I am a 21 year old Australian living in the east suburbs of Melbourne.
Anyway, I have just finished a Bachelor of Teaching course at uni last year, and am now a qualified primary school teacher. The lure of uni life though, and continued interests, will draw me back this year where I am starting a cut down Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Wildlife Biology, which is starting in March.
I’m a big movie buff. Always loved the Pixar movies from the first time I saw Toy Story, and currently looking forward to their next release “Up”. Love my music too.
I’ve also, after the current season has just ended, discovered that I become way too emotionally attached to the TV show Survivor. One of my favourite shows. Pained me too watch the auctions they had of memorabilia of the show being sold, and only being limited to US residents. The new one is starting very soon though. Only two weeks!!
WHEN DID YOU START?
Started around April last year. Being such a big Pixar fan, I got the Buzz and Woody, and Mike and Sully double car packs as a joke present from a friend for my 21st birthday. I don’t think they know that they started an obsession. đ
It also hasn’t helped that I have a 3 year old cousin that loves Cars more then myself, and also collects them.
WHAT WAS THE FIRST CAR YOU GOT?
The pre-mentioned Buzz and Woody, and Mike and Sully packs were my first ‘car’.
HOW LONG BEFORE YOU HAD CAR #2?
A couple weeks later I believe. Here in Australia, particularly around that time of year, we had heaps of Hamm. Picked it up and a Lightning McQueen as well. The snowball had just started.
WHEN DID YOU DECIDE/REALIZE YOU NEEDED MORE THAN ONE?
After getting a couple, I went browsing around the internet during breaks at uni and saw how many there was that were currently out. Some looked pretty awesome (DJ, Yeti) and I had to get them. And if I got them, why not get the rest of the set.
WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD TO GO BIG INTO THIS THING?
I think after discovering this site (Take Two back then, heh) and reading up on all the rare cars, and the cars that hadn’t being released here yet. I think when I took the big step and ordered two boxes of Case M or N (the one with Tar McQueen and Kathy Copter new) from the US, that was the real turning point.
WHAT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE HEARD ABOUT COLLECTING THESE CARS? (NEVER YOU, SOME OTHER PERSON’S CRAZY STORY ).
Can’t think of any off the top of my head. There’s being a lot of great stories on here though.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CAR?
Would have to be my Sarge. Since I started after the recall, it was quite tough getting a hold of one. Was finally able to get one from the UK for quite a steal as well. Only about $20 AUS.
Dustin Mellows and Marco are doubly as awesome as well.

Can’t wait for Elvis and the Pizza Planet truck to be released. Also hanging out for the Haulers to come here, and after my recent discovery, it isn’t an impossibility. *crosses fingers*
As for the cars that haven’t being announced, it would make my day when “McQueen’s Biggest Fan” Camper Van is included in a case. He would take place as my favourite car in a heartbeat.

Cars was the first movie I took my son to he loved the movie so much when we were at the store he saw the diecast cars and said “cars” so I bought him and me Lightning McQueen that day the rest is history

Well its not really a crazy story just a crazy amount I know of people who have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in cars although if I had the money I would probably do the same đ

Bug Mouthed McQueen was the first one I got. I saw it and just threw it in the shopping cart while we was at Wal-Mart grocery shopping. My girlfriend didnât notice it till it was put on the belt to pay for it and she laughedâŚlittle did she know lol..

Snot Rod, even though he isnât super hard to find now or worth as much as others I always liked him the best.
