I’m 21 years old and at the moment am looking for a job that will help pay for me to go back to school. In my spare time I collect Cars and spend time playing with my 10 dogs. The picture I sent along with this is of one of my dogs Gizmo. I didn’t have a good picture of myself and my collection is too spread out to take a single picture of, so I used Gizmo’s picture because he is the love of my life…well other than my Cars and Girlfriend

I started collecting anything Mater right after the movies release and started collecting the diecast cars in May 2007 or so.

A couple of months passed before I got my second car
WHEN DID YOU DECIDE/REALIZE YOU NEEDED MORE THAN ONE?
When I saw a picture of Yeti and decided I had to have him and all the cute ones =)
WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD TO GO BIG INTO THIS THING?
March 2008, I figured there can’t be that many and I wanted them all to complete my collection because at that point I had a lot of “cute” ones
WHAT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE HEARD ABOUT COLLECTING THESE CARS? (NEVER YOU, SOME OTHER PERSON’S CRAZY STORY ).
There’s 2 crazy things I have heard lol. The first being that some crazy Cars collector was in the Garden center of a Wal-mart climbing over stacks of pallets because a case of Cars was spotted on a pallet in the middle of about 20 other pallets (It however was a wasted effort as it was a very old case, at least that’s what I heard). The second was that this same collector spent an entire Sunday calling Macys from CT to the middle of the United States until she, I mean they, found the new launchers.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CAR?
I guess I would have to say Mater, but they are all so well done that I really can’t say he alone is my favorite car.
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION?
Elvis RV and the Mater Tall Tales Cars are what I’m really looking forward to, but really I can’t wait to see all the new releases for 2009.

My name is Jake and I am a Cars-O-Holic. I’m a 29 year old single dad collecting these for my son, Tyler. We live in Niagara Falls, NY, just across the border from all you Canucks. But no worries, there’s plenty of Cars to go around.
WHEN DID YOU START?
Black Friday 2007 when I picked up $300 worth to start Tyler’s collection off right. He was only 17 months old at the time.
WHAT WAS THE FIRST CAR YOU GOT?
Not sure of the very first one, but the one I remember the most from that first day was Bruiser Bukowski. People were fighting over the 2 that were left and all I could do was laugh because I knew I already had one buried in my cart somewhere. Plus I had no idea what the big fuss was about.
HOW LONG BEFORE YOU HAD CAR #2?
Black Friday morning I picked up the first bundle, and later that night I went back and found more.
WHEN DID YOU DECIDE/REALIZE YOU NEEDED MORE THAN ONE?
Oh, that was an immediate decision. Read my next answer for the explanation.
WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD TO GO BIG INTO THIS THING?
That was instant as well. I just told myself that if we’re not going to collect the full series then there’s no point in collecting them at all. Then I started loading up the cart. It’s like they say — Go Big or Go Home!
WHAT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE HEARD ABOUT COLLECTING THESE CARS? (NEVER YOU, SOME OTHER PERSON’S CRAZY STORY ). The craziest thing I have ever heard was about some old guy bullying a little kid out of his KMart Day cars, and then getting the kid and his father thrown out of the store. Kudos to the dad who jumped in to help. I know if that were my son, that would have been the biggest mistake of that old guy’s life!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CAR?
I don’t really have a favorite but I would say that Tyler’s favorite is Barney Stormin’, followed very closely by the Apple Car & Marco. Or anything new. Every time we go to the store he tells me we have to, “Look for new ones.”
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION?
We will collect everything, even the mini’s now, and especially the MSOS when I get the funding. The only exception is the Wheelies. I don’t even know what they look like and I already don’t like them.
