Job Description
The Marketing Manager will develop, manage and execute the acquisition and retention strategies for Cars Online in conjunction with the Senior Manager, Marketing.
He/She will work with the team to define the positioning and create the logo, name, tagline and website.
He/She will be responsible for the development of all acquisition activities that encourage guests to sample and convert to active members.
He/She will also create, manage and execute marketing programs and work with the community team to encourage retention and renewal of memberships.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the management of:
All marketing tactics and communications
Development of TV and online creative
Media planning and optimization
The most effective pricing strategies
Development of preview/trial strategies
Maximizing partner relationships
Managing budgets and forecasts
Optimize website experience
Cars specific market research
Analysis of all programs and guest behavior to help shape strategies
Working with the PR team to maximize press coverage
The Marketing Manager will also work closely with the product development team to develop the new content plan, ensuring that the game lives up to the promise of constantly changing and continues to be competitive.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, manage and execute member acquisition strategies: special offers, specific acquisition tactics (direct mail, mass market advertising campaigns, synergy promotions, email, special events, contests etc).
Create and execute member retention and loyalty programs: special offers, special events, contests, winback, etc
Support additional sales channels that will drive additional members (inclusive of Partner programs, licensees, affiliate programs, OEM partners, etc.)
Analyze results and evaluate effectiveness of member acquisition and retention programs as a direct result in sales and/or reduction in guest churn
Work with product development and Community Manager to optimize game experience and maintain consistency of positioning for target audience
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
5+ years marketing or marketing related experience
At least three years of online gaming/PC/console gaming experience preferred
Online experience strongly desired
College degree, MBA preferred
SPECIFIC SKILLS/QUALITIES REQUIRED
Passion for gaming
Self starter with high level of initiative
Passionate, committed and high level of energy
Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to analyze and apply data to improve results
Team player
Excellent organizational skills
Online marketing experience preferred
Computer skills: Excel, Powerpoi
