Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: Ivan Mater Deluxe – Semi Deluxe
While he’s spiffed up nice – with a sharp looking mustache grill and premium new paint scheme, he’s really not very oversized nor deluxe (other than his extra cost) – more like demi or semi deluxe.
Again, nothing really wrong with the sculpt, design or production – just that he’s the same plain ole sized Mater of the singles series …
Thanks for the great photos, John H.!
New all around. And the casino gang if you’re collecting them all …
thanks for the great pics, John H.

Where’s J. Curby?
J. Curby (and Tubbs) came out after Ivan Mater did.
it is deluxe so they can charge more for something every one is going to have to have it.
They could’ve at least thrown us a metal body.
If these ever show up at WM maybe they will be priced lower a la Padre.
I second the comment about the camera. Where did that come from or is it a custom?
It came in a set of plastic cars from Disneystore with Acer attached. John had to take plastic Acer apart from the camera to use with Mattels.
He should be a little taller in the front, shouldn’t he..bigger nose?
The real Ivan has a taller hood, but this is Mater in an Ivan disguise.
Hopefully Mattel will release Ivan also.
DJ is right, the camera is from the plastic Disney Store set. They were blowing the set out for $5 for a long time.
Love the pics, John!
Where did that camera come from? I’ve been looking for one of those.
Could it possibly be his trailer-towing mirrors that justify the Deluxe packaging, at least in Mattel’s eyes?
Having the second beam light may be considered a LUXE ? 🙂
