Mattel Disney Pixar CAR: Mack is Back and Wally is … Also Back
It was listed for a while and then disappeared but I guess Matty and the Walmart Dude oiled up and wrassled naked for a while and Matty won!
“John H.” among others spotted this today and sent along these photos – thanks everyone but especially thank John H. for cracking his open and doing the CSI indepth analysis.
It’s looking likely Year 2 of CARS 2 is the London motif look. There are still about 4 singles cases coming so presumably that’s when the singles cases will switch over but remember, the Movie Moments currently sport the Tokyo motif so it’s hard to make a definite statement about which is really the Year 2 motif.
Yes, CARS 2 Mack is different. He does sport a red cap.

Mack is even a skoosh longer. It looks like CARS 1 Mack was produced at a different plant than the other diecasts.
The inside and ramp look the same so I did not bother including those pics that John H. took. The box back lists the only other hauler available – both obviously only available at Walmart.
The Wally hauler is not very much different other than he’s with the London motif.
He still comes with three paper “crates.” Since both Wally’s are from the same plant, other than updated production and internal tracking info, it’s the same wally hauler …
For variant collectors (other than he’s in new packaging), his back sticker is slightly different.
Though I guess someone should compare a dozen of the CARS 2 Wally to ascertain that the lower position sticker is a production change and not just a one off “error.”
I will not have any sleepless nights over this. 🙂

There so similar, i think i might get Mack. Unless i get correct sized cars 2 Mack that’s plastic with inside features. Mack’s getting a lot of releases lately which is odd since he’s barely in cars 2.
Looked for these today with no luck, the only thing that is on the shelf at my local w.mart is Quick changers, Finns and more finns (back at full price too). I fear they will never sell all those Finns 🙁
I found the new Mack with Piston Cup logo today at Walmart. Funny it was the only one on the shelf, and there were zero Wally Haulers.
Glad to see Mack is back and reasonably priced too.
Found more – there were 6 Macks and 2 Wally Haulers on the shelves

Since Walmart is linked to Asda (UK) Im hoping the UK gets theese, Might even pick another Mack up since its the Cars 2 Design… 🙂

To my knowledge the link between Asda and Walmart has never helped us find Cars that are on the shelves in US walmarts, I ended up buying Wally from the US the first time, so unfortuanately don’t hold your breath,
Well,you are right because we never got the Maters secret mission 2 packs and never got any Walmart exclusives… the only thing we got that was exclusive to Walmart was the Mater with pop out wings and the spy shield toy …. I end up buying quite a few Walmart exclusives online (ebay) too but nothing ever from Walmart really comes to Asda
Have you tried trading with some of the US guys on T5? I trade with one well known member on here and all the Walmart MM exclusives are on there way to me now, It can work out a lot cheaper than the Ebay route. Although trade bait can be hard to find, I am only able to trade as I had a couple of the US no shows spare (El Materdor, Brian) and the big two Bessie Frank, Even if you don’t have anything to trade it can still be cheaper to buy a load of your needs from members, One question before I forget have you ever found Miquel the spanish racer? Happy hunting!
Oh right! I will take a look at the trading/buying fourms, agreed it is too overpriced for some US exclusives on ebay. And I bet there are better deals on T5. I do have quite a few UK exclusives (Brian, El Materador, pit crew 4 packs etc.) I only have a couple of US exclusives.
Also, yes I do have Miguel Camino I had found him at Tesco once along with Shu Todoroki. 🙂
I can’t wait to find that Mack. Now that my 2 year old is a huge Cars Fan, our old Mack has gotten lots of abuse (I mean love).

If they start making more Haulers, rerelease Chick and Gray. Those Haulers are way overpriced on e-Bay and Amazon. Also rereleases of Vinyl Toupee, Shifty Drug, and a Single Release of Bumper Save would be nice. After that, start making brand new Haulers.
I sure hope this means the Haulers are back in business. And I also hope it will always be a Wal-Mart exclusive. There’s too many TRU and Target exclusives but never a Wal-Mart exclusive.
I allready have the original Mack,so I dont see why I should get the new one,but I dont have the Wally hauler,that one is nice.

Glad to see these back… I’ll be even more glad to see new Piston Cup Racer haulers – the ones that were on the back of the boxes of some of the most recent haulers would be nice… If I remember right, that was View Zeen, Gasprin, and Vitoline.
If not, with the white Wally hauler, those who can make customs of the haulers would have an easier time of doing so.
