New Original Art From Martin Arriola: Nathan’s Playroom Charity Auction
As many of you know, “IndyKJT-Kevin” runs Nathan’s Playroom – a charity dedicated to brightening the lives of kids in hospital or those who need toys to remind them that they still are kids – no matter the circumstances around their lives.
On April 9th, they are holding a benefit and auction … of course, if you do not live in the Indianapolis area, you can bid by email – one of the items up for auction is an original Martin Arriola painting.
This piece measures 20″ x 26″ unframed. It is currently being mounted and framed, in a matte black metal frame, and matted using white on white archival matting, and enclosed with spacers behind UV protective glass. A photo of the finished framed piece will be posted here prior to the event.
You can look here for more info on bidding for this and other auction items via email.
You can also check out event info here.
Or if you simply wish to make a donation.
(of course, they are an official and legal charity and your contributions are tax deductable).
Inspired work of Art.
May the Gods bless you and your family, Kevin. Wishing you continued success with your charity! I look forward to hearing what Cars items will go up for bid!
Nice job. Hope it goes high
I hope the bidding goes sky high.
Met… thank you again for the post and the continued support! In addition to this work from Martin, there are a few other items that will be available for online bidding as well. We will also be adding a couple more special items later this week that may be of interest to Cars collectors!
Martin and I have been discussing this piece since late last year, when I asked him to create something for the program. I sent him some pictures of some meaningful items that we still have from our first son, Nathan, that the program is named in honor of. Martin used those in the piece, and as his inspiration for creating it. If you don’t know our story of the inspiration behind Nathan’s Playroom, go to “Our Story” at the Nathan’s Playroom website to read about it.
After opening this a few days ago and seeing it for the first time, I was left speechless. Martin’s work has blown me and my family away, and not all of us had dry eyes after seeing it. The picture does not do it justice. There is a depth and richness of color that doesn’t come across in my point-and-shoot photo. Trust me when I tell you that seeing it in person truly makes this a special piece. We will be having it photographed professionally, and prints created to sell at a future date.
I’d like to thank Martin again for doing this for us… and for the TFAD community for the continued support of Nathan’s Playroom!
Wow! That is a very cool image for a painting.
