Matty has the EXCLUSIVE “rubber” tire versions.
The Matty Exclusives also come on a plastic nameplate base – like this 1:24 Matty Lightning McQueen – and this packaging – different than retail version.
The “retail” version is already available.

SO where’s Mater? It’s the 16th, and you said it was to be released the 15th. Any updates? I saw him on Matty earlier today, saying “COMING SOON” but he’s disappeared again.

Very cool. Anybody know when the 1:24 covers from Diecast Authority will be available? I know there was a post about it a long time ago.. w/ discount pricing information. I e-mailed the company and have never heard back.. and there’s nothing on the website.

I’m sorely tempted to get Doc. I’ve always loved vintage automobiles.
Though wouldn’t it be cool if they had a super-rare limited edition of 500 of Doc as the Fabulous Hudson Hornet?

gosh we are SOOO interested and really want these!! we have the 2006 mcqueen and mater.. and really are thinking about buying these but we keep holding out because i dont want to start buying them only to get 5 or 6 cars and then them decide they arent going to produce them anymore… any ideas???
After Doc there are not more scheduled for release.
How about 1:24 High ’n Low Ramone? We’ve seen prototype pictures of that one here on T5AD
(MET: The 1:24 sked only goes to 2009 … so Ramone will be next if they go to 2010 with the 1:24’s).
Do you think these are better than the original 2006 1/24 Mcqueen and Mater ?
So far the Mcqueen is better on the Mattycollector.com version, EXCEPT that they should have included a cover

i agree, i would much rather have a clear top then the decorated box.
I have 1:24 Scale Doc retail version in stock now. Still can’t find the battery charger for my camera so I’ll try to borrow one and send some photos.
As the die cast gets bigger it would be nice if they were upgraded to include operating features, such as winches and headlights!
