Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: The All Everything Open Check List
I think I last updated this chart in 2008 – anything going on with this line since then?

Okay, here is it – this includes every CAR released so far plus the announced releases through December 2009 … though we know for certain that we should more Mater Tall Tale releases from Mater the Greater but since all the CAR names are un-confirmed for the most part, I’ll add those as they finalize.
Have I missed one – probably – hey, it’s about@257 CARS, what do you want? 🙂
So feel free to write in any I missed and let me know.
Now, there’s no way to indicate with icons EVERY release in EVERY format so for the most part, the highway signs indicate release on all single cards as that is the most important.
(Short cards are not counted nor considered since this is NOT a card completist checklist).
All other non-single card CARS releases generally ONLY indicate its first motif or year of release … so for instance, repeated releases on Movie Moments are not noted, only its first release.
So each highway sign indicates a release on card, the blank highway sign indicates it was first released on another format (box).
Since this is mostly for openers or just one of every CAR, you can bubble in whatever you like 🙂
For Piston Cup racers, I ignored the MSOS set except for those with no SINGLE US release so far or scheduled through the end of 2009 … so Mac iCar, Faux Wheel Drive, and Gask-its are listed as “MSOS” box CARS (Tach-o-Mint is listed as ‘scheduled’ for the TRU promo beginning in a few weeks – again, it’s scheduled so it’s listed but it could get unscheduled but for now …).
I also did not break down Storytellers or Mater Tall Tales so while 2008’s Storyteller’s are not technically WOC – they were released in 2008 so they are grouped in there much as the MTT and Christmas CARS are grouped in the 2009 listing.

Yea, I know the X usage is not consistent but it’s generally shown if the “next” moif release was soon after so just in case you were wondering if there was an earlier release.
Blank going back generally of course means NO RELEASE but current and going forward (Race O Rama, Lenticular, Final Lap) simply means not enough info is known and technically the Kmart CARS are part of Race O Rama so what else will Mattel include in that last Race O Rama case? So, more non-lenticular Race O Rama CARS are possible – even ones to that are “townies” with a ROR release like Sally, Lizzie, etc …

This is a great list. I took this and convertyed it to an 3 page excel worksheet that really helps me keep track of what goin on. I could send to anyone if they would like – and if it is ok with Met, since I used his list to make mine:)
I believe that Cruisin’ Ramone is missing here as well.
Nevermind, just found him under “Old School”.
Wondering about the two entries for Kori Turbowitz – is the MM release significantly different from the WM8 release (which I have).
If I am not mistaken, I beleive it has to do with the placement of her press sticker – 1 straight and 1 angled.
I believe this list is missing Ferrari Fan Luigi and Guido…very comprehensive, though!
Is it also possible to have racers with “regular” tires and rubber tires listed separately?

What happened to Re-Volting? I can’t see him on the list, did I miss it? Are there any plans for it to ever be released as a single or a launcher? The box-set it came in was never released overseas I don’t think so I’m missing out!

great list NOW I have to go figure out if I have fat pitty, wide pitty or unknown pitty LOL. I mostly bought by name and didn’t know some had 2-3 out.
I thought the same thing… which one is the wide pitty and which one is the fat pitty? Is Luke Pettlework a wide pitty? I am so conefused!!
Fat pitty is the one whose middle bows out a bit, the wide pitty is the short blocky one 🙂 yes, like Luke Pettlework.
Luke, Dudley and Not Chuck are the normal pitties. Stacy *Leakless is tall.
Tank Coat is a wide pitty.

The October date was actually posted several months ago, even before the June event, on another site, and I believe MET posted it back then as well.
Still, it’s nice to see Kmart promoting it themselves this time, as they really didn’t do much, if any, promoting of the June event on the Kmart site.

only got a handful at the mo,
Filmore, Chuki, Tom, Tow, Van, Frank, Snot Rodd, Boost, Dj, Wingo,
Nitroade, Leak Less, RPM, NoStall, Gasprin, Tow Cap, Trunk Fresh, Shiney Wax and Easy Idle.
i want to get: Sarge, Mini, Small Size Fred, all the other racers,
id just prefer it if i could actualy find them, and when i do id prefer to buy one or two every week or so, not buy all the ones i need at once befor ethey dissaprear forever! mattel…you need to sort yourself out!

when i read that i thought of sheriff with a radiator springs sign, like the one he sleeps behind in the movie,
that would be sweet, maybe they should release some cars with accessories, like the Rust-eze brothers with rust-eze tent!

yeah, a playset with sheriff, LMQ, the sign and a launcher for MQ, and maybe some other small signs (like the Rt66 sign)

Everyone else is talking about hiding the list from their wives – am I the only female collector? And I vowed I wouldn’t be collecting Cars – not after every other Disney & Pixar film item I’ve amassed. (Today’s my 13th wedding anniversary – lord knows how..) Tho still don’t have Gil & Nitroade…. any suggestions? Target never did notify me…
(MET: Nope, plenty of distaff collectors … I think they might be implying that hiding stuff from guys is easier 🙂 … What new couch? Gil isn’t quite out yet … but Nitroade should be easier to find as it’s showing up at Target stores …).
Target and Fred Meyer in the Great Pacific Northwest has been stocking the Nitroade hauler. Target (Central Tacoma) had three last week as well as Fred Meyer at 19th & Stevens, Tacoma. They’ll be showing up. Hang tough!
OH yeah – here’s another girl collector. My husband just rolls his eyes at me… But the weird part is that he is a total “gearhead” so you would think he would be excited about the insane amount of diecast cars I have.. 🙂 Maybe all the cool racing in Cars 2 will get him into it more.
But I definitely know the increasing difficulty of keeping the collection “hidden” or at least dispersed so they don’t get a sense of the enormity of it all…. hehehe!

You are not the only obsessed female collecter! I have been collecting for three years now! My family thinks I am wierd because my room is covered in hot wheels and Pixar movie cars! They are sooo much fun! I play with them all the time!
Nope there are lots of Lady collectors here too. Seems like the husbands don’t mind the collections as much as the wives do, or maybe if they do, they are afraid to say anything?
Dont worry I think there are lots of female collectors – my husband doesnt really care how many we have but he would probably be surprised (as in “heart attack”) if he knew how much Ive spent on them over the last 3 years!!!! He likes car racing but more Indy style than Nascar.

Another female collector here. My husband is a collector too, not Cars, but Toy Story & Superman. We help each other out. I look out for his stuff and he looks out for mine. Neither one of us can complain about the others addition since we are both afflicted 🙂

for me im a take two , one for my son to open and one for dear old dad, while my sons colleciton is large the real issue is Dad’s collection is in a box in the basement and even larger, because dear mom would flip out LOL
